Chris Reeve Umnumzaan

Umnumzaan means "The Boss" in Zulu, and in every sense of the definition, it's a knife deserving of respect.
It features modifications to the Reeve Integral Lock, more blade strength, pivot and lock tolerances, and overall ergonomics.
The hollow-ground blade is heat-treated to maintain flexibility and edge retention and features a glass-breaker while closed.

Getting CorteChris’ MEFP umnumzaan. My full ti fanaticism is satiated, for now. I picked it up because of Chris Reeve’s tolerances, understanding of steels and his tool mentality. He shows you how to take it apart! Yeah yeah, taking apart two slabs of ti is sooo hard. But it’s a classic model from a classic maker. So all I’ll need is a full ti Hinderer and I’ll have the trinity.

Love this Peter, great to see you again! I actually don’t own any CRK’s and probably never will because of the money they cost and I live on a fixed budget! That being said, I have always wondered which would be better as an edc knife, the Umnumzon, or a Sebenza! I actually love the look of the Inkosi more than the Sebenza but only in my dreams!

Love the looks of the Umnumzaan, but couldn't get over the hot spot for me near the lock area. Every time I would grab the knife it felt uncomfortable...YMMV.

I would love to own a CRK. I've never been able to justify the cost to myself, though. Not even with your fine reviews to fall back on.
