Sharma is perfection. The technique, the control, the hair make him the greatest climber to ever live.

I like how the info box describes the 5.15a climb as "pretty hard". How about, "pretty fuckin' impossible"?

Greatest climber of all time, on a beautiful route, with awesome music and amazing cinematography... freakin sick!!! Anybody know the name of the song??
@skateordieseven2015 жыл бұрын
chalk is there to keep your hands from sweating, the chalk itself does not improve friction. The only way up the climb is on the holds that are on the wall, because those are the only holds there.

I wish I knew how the photographer got up there, how his ropes were all set-up, and what he was sitting on? Using a regular climbing harness to sit-on would eventually cut-off the circulation in my legs and very painful to get the circulation back into my legs.

sharma is probably at his best now but hes also older and not getting as much done i guess... then again hes still putting up 15s so hes the man... ondra is starting to really step up beyond what sharma has done though and i think that is real cool as well... who knows what ashima will bring the to table in a couple years

3:43 what an awsome hold!
@SomberShogun15 жыл бұрын
Ok...thank you all for the response. I just didn't understand if the difficulty on a wall had anything to do with FINDING your holds. With the chalk already on the wall, you don't have to strategize, just grab the nearest chalk colored hold.

ho got the hooks in the rock? a free climber with a hammer?

Would you say Sharma is better now than he was a few years ago, or do you think Sharma was a better climber when he was younger?

@HatoriHanzo115 жыл бұрын
probably using it when going down and cleaning the rock from chalk, so that he stays close to rock (since it is a negative)
@mohr9015 жыл бұрын
I prefer chris sharma ...he is more relaxed on the rock than adam ondra ....adam ondra climbs too hectic ..but still one of the best climbers in the world

Nice explanation. Is flashing doing the route on your first attempt with beta? Is it still a red point if the quickdraws are already in place?

@drsus015 жыл бұрын
the chalk is there from his and other s previous attempts..not much you can do to prevent it other han rain to wash it off.
I don't really understand the last part of the video. He asks for a sling, they give him a quickdraw and then I don't really see what he does with it... Could someone explain it to me?
@gerardo23115 жыл бұрын
sharma has just sometging special that makes you want to climb and see all his ascents and adam ondra dont have that
@ppkkcl15 жыл бұрын
He just use it to clip next bolt. This climb it's made only for the film.
@SomberShogun15 жыл бұрын
Forgive me, but I'm pretty new at climbing. Doesn't the fact that all these holds have chalk on them already make it easier to choose your line?

@slayerguitar dan osman was impressive because of his solo climbing but as far as the ability to climb hard, technical, and powerful, dan osman didn't even come close to sharma. you can't even compare the two.
