I can't imagine that any team has the willingness to trade anything of value for Garoppolo. His base salary is 24 million. There aren't very many teams in the league that have that kind of cap-space. Im wary of OSU QBs i feel there is a strong stigma about the system or the weakness of secondary in the BIG10 (outside of OSU) but hes actually grown on me a bit, and he very clearly fits a Shanahan offense, i think better than Trey Lance does. Also i was surprised to see PFF gave him one of the highest grades ever given to a QB in 2020. After Lawrence and Wilson, who should both be gone Fields will be the next best guy on the board. These analysts are crazy for assuming Mac Jones the human statue could operate in a bootleg offense in the NFL. He has less mobility than Brady or Rivers ever had. He goes to the Pats at 15

Because he is the number 3 qb, possibly 2 based on overall talent. He is athletic, don't let talking heads confuse you. He started on the number 1 team in the land and put up prolific numbers. His feet are quick in the pocket and he could play professional tennis if he dedicated all his time to it. The idea that he is some chump propped up by the talent around him is false. He helped Smith, Waddle, and Harris transcend to another level that Tua did not have the ability to do. They have said as much. Mac is a top tier leader in the locker room too. He sets the standard. If I were a gm I'd figure out how to get him and Smith on the same team.

Because Mac Jones can read defenses, make accurate passes and lead his WRs to catches. The man knows blitzes and can make all the throws. He has a better arm than Burrow did and Burrow went #1. Hang it up, Lance has less experience than Trubisky did (Simms broke this down, his team wanted to run more and didn't trust him to cut a team up), that should scare everyone. Fields has mechanical issues and doesn't know how to read defenses. Watch his game film, he is slow to get off the first read, doesn't know when blitzes are coming (Indiana showed this multiple times, so did Alabama). Fields needs development to be an NFL QB. He goes too high and he busts because most NFL coaches ruin QBs that aren't ready for the NFL. The Bears would easily ruin Fields.

I like fields but he has the same issues as Jimmy...inconsistent decisions. Fields has a cannon but Jimmy has a quick draw arm. The problem is when his entire team went down and he was the only one standing he didnt beat Alabama by himself. Hear me clearly, because of Vince Young...you gotta Vince Young your competition! I watched cam go VY in college! Trevor Lawrence did it as a freshman and of course Deshaun watson did. The Shanahans (father & son) have drafted only one good QB and that was RG3. Outside of that the dad drafted Jay Cutler who he never made the playoffs with. So to think he is some genius and that makes Mac Jones a great pick is a reach. Mike won with an established John Elway. Kyle didn’t draft Jimmy G, or Matt Ryan. Didn’t make it to the playoffs without Jimmy G. I think drafting Mac over Fields, and Lance is risky

Andy dolton, baker, and Jones do the same thing that's why they have so many mistakes on film. I think fields ceilings are McNair or flutie like. If he starts to learn he can stay in the league for a long time at a high level, but people will always be critical of him if he takes that role...they were always had things to say about flutie height or McNair consistency. No way Leftwich had no vision held the ball as long as Russell Wilson and got happy feet almost as nice as kyler Murray. Mac gets it our under 2.5 seconds on average .hes under the average nfl pass rush like Justin Herbert did

Saying any of these QB's is NFL ready having played no snaps in the NFL is a reach. Saying Mac Jones is having literally the best of everything on his offense is almost ridiculous.

I dislike when they say they gave up 3 first round picks. While they technically traded 3 they only really gave up 2 since they obviously got 1 back and if you think that you see your franchise qb in the draft 2 first round picks is a pretty reasonable price

"Mobile" QBs have won only 2 Super Bowls in the last 10 years. Shanahan ain't drafting a mobile QB. Mobile QBs get hurt too much, and they duck out of the called plays too much. Mac Jones is the BEST pure passer in this draft.
