He was never good passing the ball mate, plus the prem became a lot trickier with the tactics regarding the CBs. Such as if the ones not mentally nor physically capables on reading the passes or runs and also cooperating to the beginning of the play got stuck behind, IE Jones shawcross mangala rojo jagielka etc

he has been exceptional this season.showing why sir alex signed him from fulham..no hate against blind..he did pretty well this season but we need to buy a strong cb to partner with smalling..blind can move ahead in midfield as cdm..but a strong cb is very much needed

The West Ham game was pretty much entirely Blind's fault, not Smalling's. Most of the goals came as a result of individual errors. Smalling can develop into a world class cb, and evidently he's already in the process of doing that
