I like that - When you're happy you don't much feel like writing songs.

Well, I was born in 42 and saw you at the Cellar Door in DC. Got the record the next day. I was floored by your picking. As we were leaving I spoke to you asking if you had an LP. Yes you said, on Poppy. My daughter now has my collection with it. I think that "Leave the Light On" is one of the most wonderful poems of our lifetime and reccomend it to anyone who will listen to me. For pure guitar and a good time no one can top Statesboro Blues. This is my first commenting ever.

Mr. Chris Smither, I've been a fan since . . .oh about 1989. My friend was the kind-of creepy dude in Philadelphia who sneakily recorded videos of your performances so he could learn to play like you. His playing improved. He started to write songs. I don't see him anymore. Bless him. And bless you. I love your music. No Love Today is my favorite. THANKS!! Much love.

Very nice, brother - that was a great set of songs! - I found you on Pandora and have enjoyed listening to you for a few years now...funny how it works when we're in the depths of misery it seems to be the best fuel for amazing art...I personally am a vessel for sad music and can't seem to write anything else🔥
