If you are a fan of his music you MUST see him live in concert. I have seen him multiple times, twice as a co-headliner and now on his own and he is amazing. I am not exaggerating when I say he played for THREE hours straight. He came on after the opening act at 8:30pm and did not stop performing until 11:32pm. He performed 22 different songs.

I have copied my favorites of his older tracks. All only live stuff. 1)Whatchu Listenin To. 2)Tennessee Whiskey. 3) I Was Wrong. 4)Fire Away. 5) Sometimes I Cry! I’ve never enjoyed concerts from the 80’s on. Always enjoyed what I was used to hearing and the live shows I’ve been to where horrible. Pitchy, off key and different lyrics..... Until I found the genius of C. Stapleton. The only musician I’ve ever preferred the live music. Those 5 tracks are played daily. Basically he’s all I want to hear. Even the “This Is A Mans World” cover was again “genius”

Chris Stapleton is every bit of a Blues musician as he is Country. He's a little bit of every musical genre and yet he is his own sound within them all. He has a rock/blues feeling to a lot of his guitar riffs & runs, but his voice comes in & all bets are off, because nobody else sounds like Chris Stapleton! ❤

I’ve heard him compared to a lot of great artists, but he is singularly outstanding, as this vid proves. He writes like Lennon & McCatrney, he plays like Clapton, and he sings like no one else across genres. To say he is the goat or savior of country is too limited. He is saving real music, all music founded in R&B, blues, soul and rock. He is up there with Elvis as a transformational talent.

Wouldn't say the only person today that sounds better live -- lots of great artists out there who sound even better live. But yes, this is a killer performance.

Props to the drummer, too. That's one tight rhythm section backing him up, going from loud and harsh to quiet and back again in that outro.

That's the thing with me and bassists, I never really "hear" them. But after you pointed it out I listened again, and yep... there are some slick bass lines here.

Besides him being a very talented singer and guitar player, we should not ignore his effort to return some soulfulness and R&B/Blues influence to country.

There's only one way to possibly ignore anything he does...that is to have the thing muted. Otherwise, your attention, your whatever is gonna be grabbed...snatched right on up. Just try to ignore with the volume unmuted. Betcha can't... That stunk face mentioned in another comment will pop out & tell on you! LoL!
