Trust in Jesus, Hell is real and eternal! This is what the Bible says about it.. "The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 13: 41-42 Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven "I am the way, the truth, and the life no one comes to the father but by me." John 14:6 Ask God to reveal this to you- He will! "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 ADMIT THAT YOU'RE A SINNER. We've all broken God's laws and ten commandments.. "Thou shalt not lie, steal, covet, dishonor parents, take God's name in vain.."(Exodus 20) We do not have righteousness on our own to get to heaven, "God made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Cor. 5:21 Godly sorrow leads to genuine repentance for sinning against the righteous God and there is a change of heart, we change our mind and God changes our hearts and regenerates us from the inside out. God is deadly serious about sin, when we genuinely repent we hate sin just as God hates it, and we turn away from it. "But God commended His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOUR SINS, WAS BURIED, AND THAT GOD RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD. This is trusting with all of your heart that Jesus Christ is who he said he was. He saves us from sin and hell and brings us into a relationship with him. We become God's children. We are saved from hell, eternal death. "For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13 CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD. Every single person who ever lived since Adam will bend their knee and confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings. Read the Bible, Walk with the Lord and give your life to Him!

Definitely. I can hear that too. That's why he's so good ! Country has, to its credit, borrowed from other musical genres since the very beginning and has become much richer for it. The only genre it probably shouldn't borrow from is pop, IMO, just don't care for that cross-over stuff, in general. But CS is the real deal, a pleasure to listen to. In fact, to those who aren't sure about how soulful Chris is, listen to Chris's version of James Brown's track It is a man's word.

A beautiful woman that I loved dedicated this song to me. She became very ill and passed away two weeks ago. The pain in my heart is nothing short of memorable. I never got to tell her how much I've come to love her not because there wasn't enough time, but because I swore there will always be enough time. I will one day see Chris sing this song live, and when I do, I will think of her and the way she made me feel. Do yourselves good and take the time to show those around you how much they mean to you. Nothing is guaranteed because in this life there is no tomorrow. Thank you Chris for creating such a beautiful song that touched the hearts of all of us listening.

Its crazy how soulful, and engaging this man is with his music..... The first time I heard any of his music / singing was after I heard someone walk up to an open mic to a street performer, he sang Tennessee Whisky, and I thought it sounded awesome. So I wanted to hear more, so I searched KZbin for Tennessee Whisky and his Austin City Limits performance popup, and I heard Chris for he first time (made the other singer I heard sound like a junior high talent night), from then on I was hooked, I am now a fan, and love how his singing makes me feel!! Awesome talent, one of if not the best singer, songwriter, performer of today period.

Gabriel De Jesus I agree. The band sound amazing together. Great rhythm section and his wife's vocal harmonies are beautiful. Great band.

I love this song! I love the singer, I love the melody, I love the lyrics. Most of all I love how it makes me feel. One of the best life performance I've seen. Thank you Chris and all.

A great melody taken from Etta James’ I’d Rather Go Blind (1967) and lyrics from a song performed in the 80’s by both David Allen Coe and also George Jones. Song was written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove. Dean who has written a lot of songs and more notably for George Strait. Chris Stapleton has taken two songs and then put them together very very nicely. Love it!
