I knew you’d be the first with a tutorial for this song! I just heard it over the weekend and I thought right away “I wonder how long it will take for Tim to put this one up” and you didn’t disappoint 🌟🌟🌟

I’m glad you covered this song. It’s a great tune and it’s simple, but difficult. You do it justice. So many cool things to play in open e or d tuning. I am almost certain he recorded this song with his LG-2. You playing it on this Collings sounds great.

You are an amazing musician Tim. To be able to decode these songs and break them down with such accuracy is beyond amazing. The most involved and difficult Dave Matthews tutorials were also on point. I would love to see a video of your music journey, your practice session, professional playing, were you ever in a band, and just your back story. Keep up the excellent tutorials. I can only hope that someday my kids can pick up the guitar and be inspired and learn from such great teachers online. There is such an amazing wealth of knowledge here. In my days, it was by ear on a cassette recorded from the radio and guitar magazine if you were lucky to find one. Cheers and have a blessed Thanksgiving holiday. I'll be working on this and few CS songs between football and turkey.

Open E seems like a it would put a lot of tension on the bridge and your strings. Why not tune down to open D and capo 6?
@fred4cy7 Жыл бұрын
does this work? broke a string getting to Open E.. probably needed replaced anyway
@jasonbougere361 Жыл бұрын
@@fred4cy7 Yes this works. Open D capoed at 6 and open E capoed at 4 put you in the same tuning: open Ab. Tuning down to open D tuning is less likely to break your instrument. Open D (from low to high) is DADF#AD. (As a bonus it’s the same tuning as Little Martha by Duane Allman)
