This song is straight-up incredible. The story of two lovers who know they shouldn't be together but want that more than anything, is so eloquently told in Chris' lyrics. The smokey, bluesy instrumental opening, perfect drumming and vocal arrangments have turned this song into an instant classic. Starting Over is one of those albums where I was constantly finding new favorites upon each listen but now that I've gone through the entire album, multiple times I think I can confidently say this is my top jam off the new album!

I’m a happily married man but damn this song brings back memories of a toxic relationship that always had my stomach in knots. When you wanted to be strong and have her leave but all you wanted to hear was that she would stay. Ugh it was never fun. What I absolutely love about Chris is that you can’t put his music in a box. Chris writes what he feels. He isn’t genre specific.
