Haven’t heard anybody like him and I’m 67. He’s unbelievable. Writes, composes, arranges and playing talent that is from another planet. Technique to blow you away and crushing improve skill on loan from God. Yea he’s the best I have ever heard. As for an all around musician he may be one of the best that played his instrument. You know he has thousands upon thousands of hours of practice.

Have Mercy! Daves' voice is so incredible. He's got some kind of BDE with his Super-nerd hillbilly Buddy Holly vibe. I can't stand it, it's so intensely authentic. Thile seems like he's found a member of his very rare and elite "tribe" of Adirondackers!

These 2 are just unbelievable! Chris Thile is arguably, the best mandolin player in music today, and Michael is an old spirit in a present day body. This is the way bluegrass should always be. Unamplified instruments, and the 2+ part harmonies.

Anybody know what kind (brand) of guitar Daves is playing here? Sometimes he plays a D-18, but this isn't one because of the fingerboard inlays & the bound fingerboard. Maybe a Gallagher? It looks quite old.... Anybody know for sure?

It is or at the very least resembles a Martin D-42 with a Torch inlay headstock. What year? No clue.

Yeah - good catch. And I love the D-42, and the 000-42 is a great instrument as well. I think they brought back the 42s in the late 90s... not sure though. Sounds great, whatever it is!
