Chris Thile and Michael Daves compliment one another so well.....Im so thankful that a whole new generation of mandolin and guitar players will be ushered in thanks to talent of this caliber, my son 16, had absolutely no interest in acoustic music untill Chris Thile, now he listens to all the bluegrass I grew up with and love so much, just when you think it can't get anybetter, it does! Thanks for posting this absolutely amazing performance!

What more do you want the guy to do? The guy is only 31 and he's put out 11 albums and tours constantly. And he has written a four movement mandolin concerto that has been comissioned by several different orchestras. The guy has done more in his life at this point then most musicians do in their entire lifetimes.

I’ve got to hear you do an Elmore James slide guitar version of “Dust My Broom”, and, “Blues Before Sunrise”, and Mississippi John Hurt cover of, “That Lonesome Valley”. Please record those on your “Lonesome Fridays”, if you’re feeling inclined. Those songs need to be interpreted by you, and preserved in your style for posterity, Michael. Chris should be the leader for a mix of the best musicians, replacing ricky skaggs and bill monroe. I think he found a bottle or pipe and chose to tune-out -- aside from Ricky Williams leaving Miami high and dry, Chris is the biggest upset-loss of our generation. We have mozart living among us and he could be leading a revolution in high-end instrumentals. Screw diversity -- Chris you are the one that can change the music world. Do it.
