Ive heard Donald Trumps negotiating style being mentioned before. This will probably across as an attack. How do you know he kicks chairs and screams at people when he is negotiating? Whats your source for this? Assuming your facts are true you are saying thats how he always negotiates? Every time?

That would be on the more irrational, emotionally immature end of an assertive’s spectrum. Not all “assertives”conduct their negotiations with such acts of aggression and, those that do demonstrate other features in addition. It’s among the least effective. Particularly long term with respect relationships and relating. Reputations of known negotiators are developed over time based upon experiences and histories. Chris and his team discuss these dynamics more thoroughly in their other presentations as well as in the book Never Split The Difference. Negotiators have primarily one dominant set of techniques and can also combine attributes/qualities of other styles to complement what they do to an extent unique to them. There’s nothing inherently “wrong” with employing assertiveness in my opinion so long as it’s tempered, collaborative and not hostile in nature. Great question! 👍🏼

Idk about chairs, but during the insurrection hearing, it was revealed that he threw his plate of chicken nuggets and ketchup at the wall when he didn't get his way. I think that part is more to do with lack of discipline than assertive bias though

Don't agree with your assessment of Trump. You also say this stuff with massive confidence. Have you challenged your thinking, or you only focused on the other person. "Empathy". It has its good but also it's bad. Self reflection is important.
