I’m aware that interviewers/cops use laughter/light joking to get the interviewees to talk more and feel less pressure but jeez, this is like 3 old high school buddies meeting up for a drink after a couple of years and catching up.

Totally agree! It almost seems like the cops LIKE Chris. At one point the cop even said to him “I’m sorry” for making him have to think of something sad or upsetting. Like really? The one who needs to say sorry is Chris. They are going so light on him it’s ridiculous.

Another thing that is so essential to establish from the onset, is the psychological profile of the person you are question. Understanding what category they fall under will allow the investigating officers to act the right way, ask the right questions, its a strategy that will help the case further. Responding to Watts nature allows for Watts to think he is in control, little does he know, they are playing to his strengths, turning him into somebody that is weak, an openly exposing him without the subject even being aware.

It is mind-boggling the man had a beautiful wife beautiful kids a beautiful home and a beautiful house he also had a good job. Why wasn't he content with that, what would cause somebody to do what he did is beyond me. How does he think he was going to get away with it and now look at him spending the rest of his life behind bars it's just utterly amazing and bazaar.

His house was in foreclosure. They were broke because Shanann was spending too much money on her Thrive products. All those vacations she went on??? She said they were all expense paid... she lied. Chris was footing the bill for all of her traveling. They filed bankruptcy three years before the murders and they were bankrupt again. Their furniture had already started getting repossessed... Shanann was a pretty woman but she was controlling and everything always had to be her way. Shanann was a lot to deal with with her munchaussen by proxy with the girls. She treated Chris like he was her child. I agree that he should have just left her. He had no right to kill her... and I'm baffled as to why he would kill his babies.

It was really helpful for me to go back and hear Agent Tammy Lee describe how she went home and cried for Bella and CeCe after these interviews. I think in order for law-enforcement to do their job they have to separate the person from the act so that they can better understand the psychology of what Chris Watts did to his family. Personally I feel empathy for him and I guess maybe I’m just looking at him and saying he could be my brother. He doesn’t look like a murderer he doesn’t look like a an evil person. I honestly believe that he is being truthful when he says I wish I could take it all back, his regret to me seems sincere but that does not negate the fact that he murdered four people. There’s a lot of psychology behind that final night and… listening to him it sounds like he was suffocated or I should say he felt like he was being suffocated in this marriage and instead of just walking away he snapped and did the most heinous awful vile thing a human being can do to another human being. Maybe I missed it but I wish the detectives who are interviewing him would ask him why he felt it necessary to murder CC and Bella. At some level he must’ve known he was not gonna get away with this. It would be so easy to hate him but I just can’t I hate what he did maybe we have to learn how to separate the person from the act. hating him just makes me toxic, it doesn’t hurt him at all but it definitely hurts me
@audbod4140
@audbod4140 Жыл бұрын
The psychology is a failure in bringing this man up. No one suffocated anyone. He should've had the balls to say, you're not for me, there, finished. No one dead. They died cos he didn't know how to do that.

I totally agree with you, reading his text messages, reading Shannan's messages made me realize that she was the "bossy" type whereas he was more of a shy and an introverted person. I have a friend like him and his wife is just like Shannan. I do think it is better off that they separate, for both of their sake. I do understand Chris in a way that he really did feel suffocated in his marriage, she wouldn't even let him put up pictures on the walls. Then when he met someone who is a better fit for him, he felt even more and more like he is in a prison. He should have just walked away. Shannan wasn't a bad person at all, her character type was just very different than Chris. I just wish he had just filed for a divorce and lived somewhere else. Shannan would have gotten over it by now. Everyone would be happy. Now no one is happy. 4 people are dead and 2 are miserable. It's just too sad to think about.

Shannon was refined n cultured n had a vibrant personality n intelligent. She also had a strong personality n confident. Her home life reflected this. Her life was all about family. Every thing she did was to benefit the family. She didn't deserve to be murdered with her children n thrown away like trash. Why did he just move out. Shannon would have gone on with her children n establish a new life n career.. For this man to tell his side of the story when Shannon is not here to defend herself against these allegations is truly in poor taste.

Not condoning anything he has done by any means but my interpretation as a person who is interested in understanding people, I believe that a human is capable of doing anything at a certain time within a certain set of circumstances . At the end of the day he was not imprisoned and could have made a different choice but again,in his mind he felt trapped or lost or pressured or scared and not in control. He didn't do the right thing but as an empath I believe he genuinely wishes it didn't happen and that he is sorry. Human nature caused him to lie and pretend innocence ..I get that...I dunno . The why almost doesn't matter because it was wrong, no reason could justify it so no reason no circumstance could make it ok but I do know that it will plague him forever. Society will label him evil for the rest of his life and if he can forgive himself that's something he has to evolve to live with . His suffering will never compare to the suffering he has put on others and at the end of the day u think he knows this and will forever know this. Now in reflection as society rather then just labelling him the devil is not the answer. He is what he chose to be, we need to learn from this as human beings and take away what we need to to maybe prevent this from happening to us to our families.

The convicted murderer is given all facilities in jail.indoor and outdoor games. Scrumptious meals ,library, gardening,....on top of the that, police and FBI chatting with the Prisoners like their friends Before 1947,India Independence, people who were social activists, were prisoned in Andaman jail.taken all the tortures in life with poor toilet facilities, bad food. They were beaten and tortured.WHY?? they fought for India Independence. But murderer like CHRIS WATTS was given interviews ,good food, good clothing. He freaked that Bella had seen what her daddy had done to her mommy. He then makes his poor girls sit in the back seat while mommy is wrapped in sheets and trash bags. Then he removed his wife and threw her out. He then goes back to smother his little girls. CC could not fight back as she was smaller but little Bella fought back for her life. Then he stuffs them in the oil tanks. Poor babies! He killed his whole family for another woman and in my opinion, she wasn't half as pretty as Shannon! Disgusting
