I remember telling my mom we would all be friends forever. Then after high-school everything changed, and real life began. Some of us still keep in touch every now and then, but that group is sadly gone. Exactly like in this song Ive had friends who left to pursue a good career, some who got into relationships and broke connection and then there is me. Im the guy in the video whos only friend anymore are drugs. Been in and out of rehab twice for opiates and heroin. I just wanna express how impactful this song is to me. I first heard this song when I was 10 years old. Life was a lot different in 2013. I am now 21 in 2023, and I hear this song and actually understand the lyrics on a level that is congruent with my reality as an adult.
