I think the coolest thing is, if you go back to his older shit even though it brings back memories, you can see a genuine maturing in his music. It changed along with him while still being “him”. I guess most importantly what I’m saying is, over a decade he really did the right thing and matured as a musician and as a person. May seem like common sense, but in reality very few musicians or hell very few people in general do this. I know a lot of people who are still who they were in high school.
