Ok so: Eb: New Major = C Major no 7 Eb: New Minor = Gb Major no 7 New major has a b2/b9 then?

Yes!

And no root! (On the new Major) This sounds incredibly modern and is so simple at the same time, great concept!
@bubsadoozy2 жыл бұрын
@@neocolors Definitely simple if you think about it as Triads. For Eb: 6 = Major / 7 = Minor, #4 = Minor -- at least in terms of having shapes to play with right away. I know a lot of people like to think of hexatonic scales as just collections of triads.

@@bubsadoozy cool, any idea where I can learn more about hexatonic scales for Improvisation?
@bubsadoozy2 жыл бұрын
@@neocolors I learned about it from the book "Line Games" - Randy Vincent (Julian Lage's old teacher) but I've also seen the YT channel Open Studio discuss it as well. Look up "Triad Pair Hexatonics" and you should find some great info.

I mean what are the implications cause it just sounds way inside. I mean like D/Eb in the bass add G maybe or Fmaj7#5/Bb in the bass.
