Yes, Chris Young was a co-writer on this song. Going on 3 years since my husband passed, plus my parents are both gone now too. This song and "Drink a Beer" written by Chris Stapleton are always a little tough to listen to, but both are beautiful songs.

I haven't heard this in a while. I had forgotten just how much this really hits. It really had me thinking about my grandmother. No question she is in a better place. She passed eight years ago, just a few weeks before what would have been her 94th birthday. She was sharp as a tack until the end. She passed away in her sleep. No long illness. No pain. But life certainly isn't the same without her. I have to suggest Reba's "If Only I Had Known" and "The Greatest Man I Never Knew" and Sawyer Brown "The Walk" with the official video. Great job as always, guys. I look forward to your videos.

Thank you Barbara for your bribe. I’ve never heard this one before. It makes me think of mom. I grieved her but could not wallow in my grief she was so light and bright I had to put out her stuff and remember her and celebrate her. She was my business partner too so we made her Birthday founders day so we can celebrate her and remember her every year. That first Christmas was hard but my guy made me put up her decorations while crying but it felt so right to see little bits of her everywhere. Kieths right the drums were a cool beat in this one.

I love Chris Young. And I love this song. It's one of those that resonates hard, and came out at just the right time, that there hasn't been a single time that I could listen to it without busting up crying. Working in funeral service has become increasing difficult since this song came out, but I'm all the more blessed for it. Some other favorites of his: Lonely Eyes Radio and the Rain Man I Wanna Be You Do the Talkin' Sober Saturday Night Tomorrow Hangin On Who I am With You She's Got a Way Alone Tonight Would recommend any and all. Great song. My (step) grandpa passed away two weeks ago. He was almost 94 years old. He was my grandpa for over 30 years. We played this song at his funeral last week. He was forced to fight for Nazi Germany as a 16 year old. Barely survived. Lost three fingers and was shot and almost killed. When I saw the notification for your new video on my phone and read the song title I couldn’t believe it. So thank you and thank you Barbara for this bribe. The family and I are going to be in Tennessee in august and I can’t wait to try out so many new bourbons and whiskeys. Especially the ones you guys liked and recommended. I lost my 23 year old cousin in 2016, just shy of the 2 year mark from her double lung transplant. She died of cystic fibrosis, and I couldn’t have worded this song better if I tried. I miss her every day, but I would take the pain of missing her for the rest of my days over her having to live in pain for any more of hers. She was my best friend, some days are harder than others but if I keep in mind that she’s happy, healthy, whole, and home it helps every time.

A childhood hero passed away about 2 weeks ago and his wife is a prolific writter and basically writes her diary on Facebook for everyone to read. It's difficult at times to read because I hate seeing people hurting and not being able to do anything. Her Husband, Ron Hamilton, was 73 and suffered from severe dementia that started about 13 years ago and the last 5ish years he has been nonverbal and bedridden. His wife stuck by his side 24/7/365. She hired nurses to come by and help, but she was his primary caretaker. This lady has experienced such loss, her oldest son committed suicide 11 years ago after a difficult battle with mental health issues triggered by a medication he was taking for acne, her mother passed 3 years ago, and her father passed away 5 weeks before her husband passed. So she hadn't even had a chance to barley start grieving her father who was in great health and very active until he went to the doctor's and they found cancer and 3 weeks later he passed. Talk about drowning but she still has a joy about her writing. I haven't suffered much loss in my life and for that I'm grateful, but I know loss is coming as it does in everyone's life. I just hope I can handle it with such grace as Shelly Hamilton has. I know physical pain and have a very high tolerance for it, but in my limited experience with emotional pain I do not do well.
