@@chrisflanagan7564 i assume you mean Proto-Indo-European, not proto germanic. Classical Latin and Proto Germanic were contemporary languages. Perhaps im wrong and you mean it was literally a loan word, but it would make more sense to come from PIE not PG. For reference the word for nut in Classical Latin is nux, coming from the Proto Italic knuks, coming from the root knu found in the Proto Celtic knūs (in modern Irish cnó) and in the Proto Germanic hnuts (source of modern english nut.) These words are all related but none came from the other, they all came from an older word shared by a common ancestor language of the three.

Bees are incredibly important to the environment, and a lot of them are endangered. But to be clear, honey bees aren't endangered and never will be. People profit on that. Bees that don't make honey (more than 80% of all bees) are don't function as a hive and independently live and mate like other animals. These bees are endangered, and their endangerment endangers a lot of plants that don't get pollinated by honeybees. Those plants can be food sources or deterrents for other animals, and without them, massive areas of terrain will slowly change as animal behaviors change and different plants survive under the influence of the changed ecology.
