“When the levee breaks” is amazing! It’s a country blues song written by an African American guy named Kansas Joe McCoy and it was about the Mississippi flood of 1927. The meaning behind it is really heavy, but that song is just pure old school rock and soul. Rock came from jazz and the blues and you can feel the soul in that song for sure

All these 70's songs from a different perspective. I was in my first year of college, studying hard and partying hard, when these songs were out!!! MEMORIES! GOOD MUSIC! Hippies!
