a few months ago, i heard one of this band's songs while working at chipotle and had to search them out. then, last week, i was watching a live set by lucius on youtube, courtesy of kexp radio in seattle, and i saw an artist in the suggestion menu that look like this and as they played and, unlike other kexp live set videos, in between the two songs they played someone from the station interviewed them, i really believe it was the same band as this one but it wasn't. it was tinariwen and now i'm pretty pumped about knowing two bands from this worldly genre. oh, and, dare i say: arabian invasion?
