Chris you have blown away all the current thought about the use of expensive bows being the only way yu can engage in the archery sport. This event really does show that you can do alright with budget equipment. Thankyou for this.

Thank you for these, getting into compound this last year has been everyone telling me I need to spend like $400 on every component, as a college student I just don't have that and doesn't make sense for me. Nice to see content with mostly budget equipment

That's incredible! Playing the wind drift has got to be tough, especially when it's gusty and not consistent. The thermals that come off the hillside as the sun warms the ground would affect it too depending on the time of day. A very impressive shot to say the least.

Right before the pandemic hit I went to Reedy's in Middleboro Ma and bought the HAMR for myself and a Radik each for my son and wife, I could have bought a Matthews but I went lower budget so we could shoot as a family. I am not upset with my decision at all. Heading for my hunter safety course next weekend to get in on this upcoming season in Massachusetts. The HAMR has been a great bow to progress with and cant wait till I get up in the stands for the first time. I will think about upgrading after I get my first New England Whitetail with this bow but till then I continute to shoot 2 to 3 times a week for hours at home and at a family members 3d range. You've been one of my favorite channels to watch these last few years. Cheers Chris, good luck with the truck drawing!

@@rogerhook8002 my wife comes from a family of Bow Hunters and she has been target shooting off and on since she could hold a bow. I'm that in between age with her uncles and her cousins so I've been shooting with both generations. I figured why should I splurge when we can keep a family tradition going and pass it on to my son who is the only one of the youngest generation in the family that has taken to it in more than an at a family event sense. He will come out and shoot with me and my wife for hours. I have zero regrets for my decision because I'm making memories with my family. Also, the Mission HAMR is a fantastic performer for its budget price. Just recently got the Trophy Ridge React 5 as a fathers day present and it was a breeze to set up.

Super cool. I was just reading and article about whisker biscuit vs drop aways. I was surprised by how small of a difference the drop aways make. In the tests they did in the article the whisker biscuit only slowed the arrow 3 to 6 fps and also only caused a marginal loss in accuracy. The authors of the article said only high end competitors would be able to tell the difference in accuracy. The only real con against the biscuit is it can be a bit harder on the vanes, but again pretty marginal.

CB In your opinion, do you think a lighter bow is better for a quicker response for shot acquisition?
@PrestonDa12
@PrestonDa12 Жыл бұрын
Im not Chris Bee but i've seen quite a few top level shooters talk about this, and this is the general consensus; Lighter bows are easier to get ON your target, but HOLDING is harder with a lighter bow, because in nearly all cases a heavier bow will hold better but it will be slightly harder to get on the target to begin with. This is almost a direct quote from MFJJ on youtube. Hope it helped

Hey man great content, just found this channel 2 days ago and already watched a few videos when i could. I have a question, idk if i missed it or im too lazy too look for, but do you have this bow's specs anywhere and of all the accesories so someone who wants to build a budget bow like this to get an aproximate price? If you have a video of it, would love a pointer to it. Thank you and keep up the good work. 👍🏻😁

That’s why it’s almost always the Indian not the arrow. Make sure whatever gear you have is tuned, then learn how to shoot it. Stop chasing gear and chase technique. This man is sniping 111 bombs with a beginner bow and a whisker biscuit.

The sight+scope is about $600. The hinge release is $200. The arrows he's running are about $250. Im betting the stabilizer is around $100. Your "budget" must be higher than mine. I want a true representation of budget. Every bow shop has a bucket of parts that people didn't want when they upgraded. Pull some stuff outta there and build a bow. Then we'll talk about budget. A $100, 15 year old bow with $1000 worth of PREMIUM accessories isn't "budget"
