Can someone explain if shooting on anamorphic with a full frame sensor? Aren't you losing a lot of information on the sides of the frame? I was thinking you needed the ability to shoot open gate? Help!

These lenses are nice 👏 at around 10:30 and 10:38, there's a very slight wobble there too, is that because of any IBIS? Because I got wobbles like that before using anamorphic and I don't know if I had IBIS on or not but I wish I didn't if that's what causes it :(

Magnified critical focus ( mostly eyes ) on a high end anamorphic is hard to nail ( mechanically not operator ) on budget anamorphic lenses I think they cut back on a few elements that give that extra detail in critical focus. But still nice for the price. Just always worth checking any lens on a projected screen first. That’s normally why there’s such a price difference.

@northparkfilms3045 i did a whole video on it on my channel. If you don't have an open gate sensor, you have to crop a lot off the sides to get the standard cinema wide-screen format, you are also losing a lot of resolution with a 2x stretch. Therefore, the 1.5x is more suitable for 16:9 sensor.
