Chris, I feel your pain, mate. I have to admit that I don't know how I feel about the window. As you rightly say, there should be a plan ... maybe this was/is the plan, ie; no statement signings until we get home?? None of us know what the plan is - it's ALL speculation and the unknown, let us note that the leading pundits/experts don't know what will happen. I am staying positive and hope that we sign 2 or 3 big names during the remainder of the window. I'm with Ange COYS

27 days. Nearly 4 weeks. Still time. Window has been quiet for most teams. I was more disappointed with the podcast than the position spurs are in. Such negativity and knee jerk reactions confirms the toxic undertones still present with this fan base. The positives outlay the negatives. Players need to want to come to spurs, players need to be suited to the system. Spurs don't see a player and get them. It's not that simple. Less of the doom and gloom. Season hasn't even started yet.

I think pre season has been v good with all the players away at Euros and Copa delayed holidays. It has meant we have seen the youngsters really lay down a marker on some of our stars. At least that means they will have mouth watering loan options. Last season we suffered with injury and lack of depth. But a couple of signings but selected youth and determined rotation means the future is bright

Other commentators have noted the fact as well as Ange, that the players were deliberately put on a physically draining training and playing regime in Japan and Korea, with the knowledge of the benefits to come. No wonder they were tired for the Bayern game. There doesn’t seem to be any allowance made for that in your commentary, or by the many bedwetters who are already crying about our prospects. Look at the first team players out with injury or yet to return- 6 in number, 5 are internationals. Take that out of any team and they will suffer. Look at Man. City in the first half of last season. One thing is for sure, Ange will implement his system or if he is unsupported by management, he will leave. It seems that too many supporters and commentators are playing the same old violin, without acknowledging what is front of them. You have a project here, similar to what Fergie, Pep and Klopp implemented, and with as much upside. There is already the structure and players in place to dominate the next 5 or 10 years. I hadn’t even mentioned Vuskovic still to come next season. If it doesn’t happen straightaway, they can keep on playing their old violins to their old tunes. And when success does come they will jump on the bandwagon. If two or three more experienced or elite players can be recruited to add to the depth, then success will be expedited. The course is already set.

I must say I am astounded by the amount of negativity aimed at the club, manager and players following a defeat in a pre season game. These pre season tours are conducted for a number of reasons. They are great revenue raisers in regards selling merchandise and TV deals. They are a tool to get the players fit, understand each other, work on game plans, team bonding and test untried players. From the comments I see on social media it seems as though many fans are expecting pure flowing football and winning every game 4-0. Not a bit of wonder Conte walked!
@paulclarke39472 ай бұрын
I think fans get frustrated because the mangers don’t get backed by the board and that leads to managers getting fired or managers leaving , you have to buy quality to compete in this league or you get left behind , when you have supported this team for 50 years as I have it gets frustrating . I don’t think fans are frustrated with just one friendly I think it’s a number of things

Talk of titles is pure delusion with our transfer business.. Early transfer business? What transfer business? We should have replaced Kane about this time last year. I'm not holding my breath, we all know Levy has final say, and for over 2 decades he's operated like this. We're always left short, it's obvious why we always have thin squads, why we're always off the pace. A fish rots from the head down. Levy wants top four and CL on a budget. This is where the money is. ENIC are not striving for or trying to win titles. They would cost too much.

I see us playing our younger players and how they’ve preformed is like a revelation that our rivals don’t have. I see bringing in a player or two but I’m confident we have players who are ready. They happen to be young but our rivals played there youth players and it helped them instead of relying on playing players out of position, like last year. Too much negativity for a first time visitor to your channel. Definitely waiting to see a better analysis before sharing and subscribing to your channel.

Going to serve games on a platter to better tactically equipped managers/clubs. Have to evolve in sports. Can’t have the-we are doing this way and this way only. Visionary players and coaches don’t evolve this way. Good luck Ange, love your managerial capabilities.one off the best in the world. Just not technically/tactically. Not a single player got more than a 5/10 in that first half. Disjointed phases of play, players running all over the park with no real plan, a real lack of width. Levy possibly unwilling to spend big money under Ange Ball or unwilling to spend either way….. Solanke feels a risk, we need a striker, someone to compete with Johnson and Udogie. Supplement the rest with the U21’s, but have watched Ange Ball for 12 months I am unimpressed.

The worrying thing is that every time Bayern accelerated, we were in total panic defensively in the first half. It made me think about the end of last season where we suffered 5 heavy defeats. When we lose the ball and the opponent counter-attacks with pace, we simply panic. About transfers, what I can't accept is that our club has loads of money, no PSR issue at all, needed early transfers to be ready for the Leicester game, needed new players to be ready for the increased amount of games this season, but we are still waiting.... When I look at Werner and Johnson (clearly not good enough!), when I see that Richy is once again not ready, well Big Ange's statement that he wants to win the PL this season is quite funny.....
@danielturner72132 ай бұрын
The fans are ambitious the club don't match it. The club raise tickets prices. At this point the club is literally taking the p*** out of us. Where is the transfer strategy. Big Ange has been done over by Levy and accepting. Werner on loan. 7th richest club in europe and we make signings like this. We go from a stubborn defensive manager to a stubborn all out attacking manager. Tactics leave us wide open this season has disaster written all over it. After sacking poch we had to put up with a downgrading of the team clueless on running of the club on the footballing side. There is no accountability by Levy. I can't back this. Im not even excited for the new season. After the first 10 games of last season we haven't been good. If we start the season in poor form Ange won't trust the youth. I can't see Ange lasting until febuary. We are looking at a 8th or 9th place finish. No plan on transfer strategy and a manager that refuses to adjust his tactics. Its asking for trouble. Pre season is there so players get fitter and sharper. All i havd herd is excuses. Bayern started pre season later than us and looked a lot better. Worrying times

There is only 1 club that teams are trying to beat and thats Man City. Unless your club are willing to spend like man city then you have little chance of closing the gap. Teams like Arsenal and Villa are years into their project but they still can't get a head of City. Tottenham is just starting their 2nd season with this manager. Lets be real Man city is favourite to win again.

Just need movement on the transfer front just within the first team?!! There needs to be competition for playing positions even if it means to give our youth in the academy and signings that chance! But we need four top signings,because we are well short atm🫣
