Wow - what a great guest. Just ordered the book. Maybe the best interview on the channel so far. Talked a lot of sense! Fans must trust and not just sack at every bad turn. I have faith that Ange’s ethos is bery much the same as the history of the club - play football, ride the bad waves but in the end glory doesnt come easy and rewards will come. So many people BEGGED for a attacking manager, now we have one they want to sack him. Keep the faith!! Thanks Chris! COYS

As a Fan watching from Australia, I have to say that I have never seen a "television" fanbase where many individuals are so totally unstable and unhinged when a result is anything but a win! I truly wonder just how many of these "know-alls" have ever played any really competitive football and yet they have all the answers at the ready. Initially I was excited when Ange took on the job at Tottenham but after a season I do start to tire of the moaning and groaning of these so-called television fans. For me the turning point came when they actually cheered on an opponent because they did not want to see Arsenal to take out the premiership. I mean we all understand rivalry but come on this is beyond normal and fair. I guess we have to see how this season pans out. Whatever happens Ange will not lose his dignity because of a relatively small rowdy bunch of punters.

100% Spurs online fanbase is a sh-tshow. They’re hypercritical and entitled. And despite Arsenal being their bitter rivals they put Arteta on a pedestal - Constantly referencing his tactics and traits that are different to Ange. Yet they always fail to mention the fact that Arsenal finished 8th in his first two seasons.

Spurs fans are1 of the reasons that Tottenham aren’t successful. If anyone thinks you can get success by changing your manager or players after every bad run, then they are mistaken. A lot of the best managers in the world didn’t start off well, i.e. Ferguson and Wenger, Arteta even. The most important thing is developing a team spirit and mentality and a style of play. Chopping and changing and critiscising the moment things go wrong will not help. The word support, means to lift up your team…..some of the fan base do the opposite.

Absolutely spot on. It’s idiotic to think you can create a top team in one season. It takes 3-5 seasons minimum and involves a lot of hard work, a long of pain and a lot of ups and downs. But most of all it takes time and lots of strategy and effort. That’s what the journeys of Arteta, Klopp and others have been about. I became completely obsessed with Celtic. Everyday, absorbing news, on youtube channels watching the story unfold. And as Ange signed for Tottenham, i was initially upset. As i was used to him at Celtic and i felt he had unfinished business in the CL. And i am over the moon how Celtic have their first big win in the CL in ages. Just as Ange predicted, you get yourself back to that level, and you build a foundation and each year you improve. And now he's at Tottenham and I'm here for the ride. Everyday.

Tottenham fans are really unrealistic. It takes time and several transfer windows. The first team is definitely playing better football now….everyone should be able to see that. Improvements need to be in taking the chances and this will come with confidence, which is why the Spurs fans need to support the players. This system will always leave Tottenham open in defence, but if we were scoring more consistently then that wouldn’t be such a problem.

Sooner or later you have to pin your faith on one manager and give him a proper chance to succeed otherwise it is just going to be a revolving door of dubious characters. After our last two debacles I am more than happy to give Ange a proper shot. He has a very promising squad of players to get the best out of and the potential for something good is certainly there. I would definitely give him the chance to fulfil its potential.

Ange couldn’t believe the Fans mentality when we would rather lose to City than beat them and stop Arsenal winning the league, and I totally agree with Ange. Going into any match and not giving 100% is disgraceful and then to complain when we lose another match that they want us to win. I want to win every match and expect 100% every time, no matter the opponent. To me if you are a true supporter of any team you stick by your team in the good and bad times. What got me was the team hadn’t played badly until the Coventry match, so why did things turn so toxic so quickly. In true Ange fashion, he has stood fast and told it as it is. Chris you created and enabled some of that toxicity on your channel so take your smug condescending attitude and cut it out. It was displayed somewhat in this interview. Eluding to Ange’s interviews as if he’s rude to journalists. British journalists attack everyone especially their own. Vince made it clear stupid questions are cut down, not tolerated. Ange draws fire away from each and every one of his players, you’ll find those journalists who have fired those attack questions are now the people he doesn’t respect. You came up with all those poor stats and led the ‘is he the right man for the job’ call. It was a poor showing. You clearly only care about winning. You didn’t like the summer signings. You don’t like him playing the high line. You didn’t share any of the positives from this season or last. Look for negativity and you’ll find it. You did exactly that. Be honest and own your contribution to the nasty rhetoric. I unsubscribed because the nasty comments became too much and I think you’re talking out of both sides of your mouth. Correction to your statement ‘you occasionally support Ange’ You hide behind ‘a lot of spurs fans don’t like ….’ In my view you’re a hypocrite if you rejoice in wins from now on. The win over Coventry escalated to a vitriol attack with calls for his firing yet the win over Man U was a roses and champagne response. Not exactly supportive behaviour or sticking while a rebuild occurred. Those opposing reactions to winning support my theory that you talk out of both sides of your mouth. Now you’ve read Vince’s book you feel better about Ange. Boo hoo.
@MathewBallАй бұрын
I am frustrated with Ange, all he needs to do at times is tweak the system/tactics! All great teams have a solid, sturdy defence and backbone, and we don't. Ange's stubbornness will cost him if he doesn't address that and sign quality experienced signings! I can't see how Ange can seriously survive with only signing untested, unproven youngsters who could well not make it. There are no signs they will make it. It's all down to let's just hope for the best! If Ange can solve these issues and tweak things he could be successful at Spurs, but if not, he's gone! I feel that Ange is out of his depth! Ange should stay at least until the end of this season. That will depend on whether Ange doesn't go on a big losing and drawing spree.
