Chris mate ignore the people complaining at (not to) you about Ange and the transfer window. Just a few people who are constantly negative and use the club as an excuse to be angry. You're doing a brilliant job and the fans are so grateful to have fans like you comitted and willing to share all corners of spurs with us on this platform! IMO: Ange has only been stubborn on one aspect of this football club so far (set pieces) and handled every other hurdle in his way with rarely any problems or pushbacks. We need a top class attacker which we will definitely get before start of season, but we've played this whole pre season with 1/4 starting back 4 and a bunch of kids who are killing it, but somehow people are trying to use the fact kids are playing to make them angry rather than looking at how their performing and being excited... COYS!

So it's negative to want success? But its positive to be happy about 24 years of failure? Odd take.

@@daniel-j-harris Missing the point. Its negative to use a sport as an excuse to release frustration by leaving nobbish comments where they're just cussing everything possible to do with the club (not accusing yourself of doing so). Especially when its left on the channel of a well-respected individual within the spurs community who shines a light on a lot within the club that we all love, to help us follow it more in-depth, when nobody asks him to. Chris is far from a club happy-clapper - that gets confused with commitment. The above and wanting success are completely different. Nobody is happy to have not got over the line for the last 16 years (can't disregard the league cup), but level-headed supporters who still want the club to succeed can see the improvements made over the last year in comparison the sh*tshow that occured between mourinho - conte period, and surely the fact we're playing on the front foot for the first time in 5 years and managed to get a system in place so quickly is positive? It took poch two years minimum to get everything right tactically and another 2-3 years to get rid of the deadwood. We've done all that in a year under Ange/the new staff running the club and seemed to created a better link between first team and the academy than what was ever there during the poch era and don't have anything near the financial restrictions previously to actually improve on the squad without needing to sell our best players anymore to survive - surely this gives you signs of positivity?

It's wonderful to see the mixture of youth and experience at Tottenham Hotspur, in the signing of players as young as Yang to work together with the more experienced players. May Yang remain both young and Yang and do his best for the club! Now being fully confirmed to participate in a half-marathon (21.1 km) on 15 September this year in the general or mixed group (all ages), and also qualifying for the 50 + category by virtue of chronological age, I look forward to participating with runners from 18 to 80 years of age, and possibly beyond these bounds. The blend of youth and experience is good for all sporting disciplines.

Chris, Scott R here from Portland, Oregon, and pleading that you don't worry about the Bozos in trying to address their inane comments. Your show not only follows a solid half-script and has a great vibe, but it also helps me deal with the ups and downs of being a Spurs' supporter. To answer the question about why we haven't signed Toney and the Spurs' slowness, I believe it's because of the Euros and Copa, and more specifically the 3 week break afterwards. Still, I hope to high heaven that we DON'T sign Toney due to possible lingering betting issues, his arrogant attitude and him being a LIVERPUKE supporter. Jonathan David is my choice for striker because he is more of a team person as I saw for Canada. He has a solid trio of finishing skills (left AND right footed, in addition to heading, like Harry), he has the speed to keep up with Brennan, Son and Werner and he's good at pressing (which is what Marsch also pushes). Eze also sounds great, but I do wonder how Ange plays so many midfielders even with the Europa & cup games? I do hope Ange implements a Plan B, but you have to lack awareness not to see that Spurs are playing excellent football under his guidance. I watched City play AC Milan, and both teams looked way less fluid than the Spurs I've seen so far this pre-season. In watching the latter, I could totally see the academy players being able to fill in at least a few slots for the upcoming season, with the best being Donley at left back, but also Ashley Phillips as the 4th centerback. I think Mikey Moore should be loaned to a competitive League One team or possibly a middling Championship team (Preston NE?). I think he's bound to have a drop-off in the EPL, and at 16, it could break him. Overall, keep doing what you do, your way, as well as having the "happy clappers" on your show. Presenting all-around analysis and applauding growth beats a bunch of Negative Neds any day of the week.

Why haven't we already bought Kyogo Furuhashi? Pure class..... Lethal goal machine that is very conversant with Ange ball...... A no brainer really irrespective of what striker we buy......... Then there's Matt Riley....is he not a better fit for us than Connor Gallagher?...... Chris you have access can you ask the gaffer directly?

I get the feeling that both Ange doesn’t want to raid Celtic and possibly there was a clause in his contract with Celtic that he wouldn’t do it. In saying that- Furahashi is a very classy player, beautiful touch and goal scoring ability. We do need a striker with his kind of touch and instincts. Hope we can get someone like that.

Sess demonstrates why we need to protect Mikey. I want Donley to remain as LB support & want Devine as an option. Lankshear looks outstanding & would love him until Xmas & then potentially a loan. However, with Gray, Bergvall, Moore, and Donley, I think the squad is stronger for the upcoming season.

I agree an experienced striker is a must. Beyond that I’m just not sure (another central midfielder, left sided attacker, 4th choice CB ?) as it will eat into the pathway of a promising young player. All well & good referencing the previous academy youngsters, saying we can’t repeat the previous mistakes not giving the game time etc. But we can’t compare a few years ago with now. There’s a reason bigger clubs didn’t come in and pay big bucks for them later on, they were always of a mediocre level. Fast forward to now, we have an incredible crop of young players, it’s a completely different kettle of fish. The future is very bright.

Hi Chris. Enjoyed watching this stream though didn't catch in real time. I encourage you to do a stream with guests, to answer the question of which of “youngsters,” come late August, should be on the 1st team? I am principally thinking of Moore, Gray & Bergvall but also Dragusin & Spence. Last season the spurs had only 40 guaranteed games. PL, LC & FAC of which they played 41 because they advanced 1 game in the FAC. Indeed there were several spells were the idle for a couple of weeks. Ange commented negatively on that. In this upcoming season Spurs have a guaranteed 48 games with a potential of more from the LC, FAC and Europa League. I think both Dragusin & Spence should be on the 1st team. Spence has had a rough time at the Spurs by being signed by the management but the coach, at the time, apparently, not agreeing, limited his playing time. I would be kind of pissed off being caught up in the middle of a power play of not my own making. I think Spence has gotten over it with a spell in Genoa, where he had limited availability to communicate and complain, and concentrated on football. He is talented and that has shown in the friendlies. Dragusin, at 23, is such a talent he has to be on the 1st team and given substantial playing time. That leaves Moore, Gray & Bergvall. All need to playing regularly next season but I can only see room for one even with the increased number of Spurs games. Who should they be sent back to the U leagues or loaned to a Championship team? Discuss. Regards.

Spurs management need to bring top players at 2-3 players this season to push for top 3. Mr Levy cannot use the same approach by keep negotiating to get players at lowest cost which will may that player move eleswhere for big clubs offer. I have been Spurs fan since 1980 and it have been always frustrating we cannot make a statement signing. Deva 🇲🇾

Why aren't we signing anyone to improve the first XI Chris? Why has nothing at the club changed in 24 years? Why are we still unable to win anything, sign top players, and kick on? Why is 24 years of failure being spun as a positive thing? Why is wanting more success for this club seen as negative by so many of our fans?
