It’s not hard making a secure henhouse and run if you’re competent and prepared to spend some time and effort in doing so. This argument is a non-sequitur.

These Hunts are the countryside equivalent of the violent inner city gangs who are so vilified. Both repeatedly break the law. Both are foul mouthed, rude and arrogant. Both are violent and intimadatory. The police do a lot to catch and punish the inner city gangs and establishment figures refer to them as ferrel youths. Whereas the police do more to facilitate hunting than they do to stop it and establishment figures ride with them rather than vilify them. This is the real face of a two tier justice system. In the words of Mobius Loop " You on the hunt now don't be a c**t now, leave those baby foxes alone." Big respect to all the Sabs.

Ive been petitioning my way for years after a being a sab in my youth. Trouble is I'm in Warwickshire and we have a police commissioner who's struck a secret deal (actually) with the hunt. Two tier society doesn't do it justice. Great film, bravo.

I used to work on a farm and my boss despised the hunt. The foxes used to use our fields as an escape route and woe betide the hunter who tried to follow.

When I was a kid a fox hid from the hunt in our coal bunker. I also had to threaten a hunt with consequences, as a dozen of them lined up in an attempt to get on my father’s bit of land. Think my levels of aggression shocked them, hiding in their gang. That’s the way to do it 😊

Superb reporting on this very important "Act for Wildlife". A blood sport that should be eradicated, and after years of groups supporting its abolition the hunting fraternities still continue. Makes me so angry. I have written to my local MPs several times, and I feel that there is such lack of motivation, especially when there is so much evidence to support to ban on fox hunting, but I will write again. Thank you CP for highlighting this hunting sport.

Outrageous, these people think they are above the law, because they ARE above the law. They all belong to the same clubs as the judges 😡 If they were trail running, they would be on a pre defined route, no straying on private land. If they were to keep trail hunting then the route should have to register it with police before the day, and they should have to stick to the route. Any straying from that route should be prosecuted. Far better to ban altogether, they have shown they cannot abide by the law, soan outright ban is the only sensible option.

I absolutely agree that if people are breaking the law, they should be prosecuted. The footage used does not show any illegal activity in respect of fox hunting. Just because Chris Packham says something is happening, it does not make it true. Show some evidence to support your allegations and your words might have some credibility.

I'm against fox hunting. I don't believe fox hunting; sorry - trail hunting - has any validity. Well, almost. Nearly all hunts should be banned. I DO have some sympathy with people/farmers in the Southern Uplands/North Pennines because their terrain is particularly difficult (more so than Scottish highlands, anywhere in England, Wales or Northern Ireland). I am not convinced that shooting of foxes is more humane. However, an exception for that area would be far too difficult to administer and democracy said everyone should not hunt, everywhere in the UK. I agree.

Mountain Equipment use synthetic and down! Synthetic is way better in the wet, as it doesn't compress/flatten. I think that jacket is synthetic...
