For those who do not get the Ship of Theseus joke, here is the quote from the Wiki page. The Ship of Theseus is a thought experiment about whether an object is the same object after having had all of its original components replaced.

I prefer the way the Doctor puts it with the mop but that is only because it's also funny rather than only thought provoking.

I don’t get it. Explain please?
@Blasted2Oblivion5 ай бұрын
@@Kain_cee The ship of theseus is a thought experiment. You have a ship. As time goes on, the wood rots so you change out the rotted boards. Eventually, you will replace every piece of wood on the ship. When you do so, is it still the same ship or is it actually a new ship? The joke was that he was slowly over time replacing the parts of the wiki like the ship in the thought experiment.

Oooh! I can answer that one. Early pants from the British Isles didn't have a gusset (crotch), they were just the two legs joined by a piece of skin. You would wear a tunic and other layers that hung down over the front.

I now understand the origin of the beginning of John Dies in the End by Author David Wong aka Jason Paragin. Is the ax the same after having the handle replaced? And when the head is damaged and replaced is it the same ax? And when it rekills the guy originally killed by the ax in its original form, is he correct when he says "that's the ax that killed me."? ❤
