It's the theme song for the Doctor X movie special. Doctor X is one of the most succcessful Japanese dramas of the last 15 years and the main characters catchphrase is "“私、失敗しないので" (Watashi, Shippaishinai no de), which is translated to "I never fail" (she's a surgeon) and the last line of the chorus is a variation of it. The lyrics as a whole are written for the Drama/Movie, so it doesn't have much context if you don't know it. The song is written by Ayase, one half of YOASOBI, which is probably the only group/band/artist that is able to go head to head with Ado when it comes to worldwide success and fame and is even a bit more successful domestically, thanks to their involvement in a lot of Anime themes/openings/endings.

Ive been a Yoasobi fan for a while and the moment I saw an Ado and Ayase collab, I already knew it was going to be fire. It has the same type of feel as a Yoasobi song because Ayase is producing it but with Ado vocals instead of Ikuta. I really think Ikuta (and Ayase, like an Ado and Yoasobi collab) should do a song with Ado, it would be amazing.

Again, what an analysis you made ! One thing I have to say : The queen strikes again ! What a way to finish 2024 for her. The beginning is a pure ado’s angriness, then she continues by a song written with hope and the fight we (or maybe she) need to have for surpassing ourselves (herself ?). I love this song, hearing it 10 times since Friday 😂. 34th (out of 150) at the moment for me, but I’m not sure yet.

Great review! Again, recommend checking out her cover of Syudou's song "Hindrance!" She was 15-16 when she sang the cover but boy, that song showed Ado's aggressiveness to a T.

The song was written by Ayase from the group Yoasоbi, who are incredibly famous now, performed at Coachella 2024. They are interesting to listen to by the way.

I would love to see you reacting to Mafumafu! He also sings Japanese songs like Ado! He's also one of Ado's favorite singers, if I'm not wrong. Ado and Mafumafu had interviews before too. I don't really know much about him but from what I know, he's about 30 years old and his gender often gets misunderstood because of how high he can sing! In my opinion, his vocal range(?) is so large! He can sing very high and very low which is impressive!! I would absolutely love to see you reacting to his covers/songs.

Absolutely adore your reactions and analyses of Ado and many other vocalists I love. It's fascinating getting to see and hear explanations of vocal techniques that I intuitively understand as being awesome. If you're taking suggestions, Minami put out a song called "Underwater Reflection" that has some of the most emotionally raw and vulnerable singing I've ever heard. I think you'd really love it, and I'd really love seeing a reaction/analysis of it. Keep up the great work!

I haven't tallied it up, but I'm fairly certain that among her originals, features (did a lot of those pre and immediately post Usseewa) and official covers various kinds of rock music is the plurality. Followed by various kinds of pop, EDM, jazz and ballads. This goes from pop-rock (Ibara, same writer as Backlight)), old school danceable rock N' roll (Faking of Comedy), synth-rock (Missing), regular J-rock (Freedom, Buriki No Dance and etc.) and punk rock (Tokyo Cannibalism, *highly* recommended).

She basically started out singing songs that leaned towards the hard rock genre, but I'm sure a lot of her pre-debut tunes can't be simply categorized as rock. It was mainly after her covers of Syudou's songs and collaborations with two songwriters, Jon and biz , that set the stage for her early hard rock oriented tunes. Her more pop-oriented, softer songs have been on the rise since she sang for One piece in 2022.

I noticed how Eastern performers like to put out as many voice variations as they can in one song. One could think they are superior to most western artists. But thing is, maybe people do not want to make a salad of the song, rather they (if able to sing in more different ways) make more songs with different singing styles (Take new Linkin Park for example) All in all, impressive abilities of Ado

And in the West they already do it, for example Electric Callboy, Jinger. Salad is much tastier than eating cucumber separately, and then tomato separately.
