Me too reminds me of like Ice Nine Kills with their music videos telling an overarching story, though it's done much differently, also Starset does it too the Transmissions album tells a whole story then the other 3 after were one long story, or Ghost though their lore is usually outside of the music videos, Avatar also did it, then of course Falling In Reverse had their Losing My Mind Trilogy I just really love it when music videos have a story to tell, or bands have lore, or the album tells a story like The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance, or both of Tallahs albums, or Life Is But A Dream album by Avenged Sevenfold It just adds so much when something that's already amazing also tells a fun story love it so much when bands do that

The crown morphed into his tattoo. I know on a surface level, many will call it blasphemous or assume Ronnie is relating himself to Christ, but I think it's a lot more so that he is implying that someone like Ronnie is being crucified for his way of thinking and the things he says. Which IS relatable to Christ in the biblical sense, I always look at music videos that are actually doing visual story telling as art, I sit back and remove any bias I myself might have so that way I can try to immerse myself into the art I am witnessing. As soon as I saw the video I knew people would quickly mention the crown and the cross, but that's why Ronnie did that, so people would talk about it. In my own humble opinion, as someone that grew up in a Christian household and am now a married adult, and have seen a lot more of the world and different beliefs and cultures, I see many things that were often put on a pedestal as "sacred" as symbolic. The crucifixion of Christ was significant BECAUSE of who he was and what his sacrifice meant, but if you are familiar with the "Christian Lore" as I lightheartedly call it, there were 2 other individuals being crucified on either side of Christ. And in the song and several other songs on this album talk about being canceled or hated for going against the system, so people that get hung up on the visuals of the video are proving his point he's making. That nowadays, if you go against societal norms or standards, if you disrupt the "system" that is made to abuse us and take advantage of us, you are socially crucified. The internet torches and pitchforks come out and everyone rallies to tear you down from whatever position or standing you may be on, even if you are a celebrity, or an average person. That is also why around the same time the crucifixion scene plays out he is talking about not being afraid to sacrifice your comfort and security to do what you have to in order to be free. To break the chains that you have allowed yourself to be placed in. To take a stand, to let the system break, to light the match and watch it burn. He then showed Heaven and Hell fighting for his soul which is incredibly accurate to the "Christian Lore" I mentioned before, and it applies to literally everyone. Even that scene can be interpreted in many ways. It could be just light vs dark, heaven and hell, even a single individual's inner struggle. This is pretty long-winded of me, but I personally think it may be one of if not the BEST song and video combo I have seen in nearly a decade or more. The build up, the visual storytelling, the symbolism within those visuals. I know some cannot get past the visuals, especially if they can't look at things in an abstract lens and just see it as blasphemy rather than symbolic of how we crucify each other based on beliefs and decisions and opinions these days. Always a pleasure to see the breakdown on the vocals, was hoping for more discussion on the whole thing to be honest, but that's okay.

My take from it is they made him a leader. He had his followers which started to mimic him. He disagreed with certain things and spoke up. The tribe disagreed e.g. society. He was crucified for speaking out e.g. what Ronnie deals with on the daily. He lost control. The good and the bad or heaven and he'll tried to claim him. He pushed them both away e.g. him choosing to b his own side or make his own path/decisions. He came back to life. The Ronnie we see walking through the desert. He follows the light and find his suit. The one seen in watch the world burn and Ronald.

my opinion... i feel like the fact that this is called "prequel" is meant to be ironic (i mean he says "that's irony" a bunch in the song...). I feel like this video takes place way in the future, well after Ronald and Watch The World Burn and it is the world that comes from him fixing the world after Last Resort. It is like in the movies where you see the end of the movie before the story even starts and you watch it unfold as the movie plays on. Not to mention there is a statue in the city of Ronnie in said super suit. He gets the super suit originally from Tech 9 in Ronald... it builds onto his skin as Tech is rapping and completes right before he sends him to hell to fight the Devil. Watch the World Burn is after Ronald, he is sent back to earth after defeating the Devil... and this video is the world we are living in after Last Resort ... the world is still doomed... "everything falls apart" and he is forced to go find and dust off the super suit and get back to action and save the world AGAIN... just my thought on it... As far as the crown of thorns, it morphs into his tattoo… crucifixion was the form of “public execution” use back in the day, it was not reserved for just that one religious figure. Ronnie is constantly crucified figuratively speaking, for telling the truth and calling attention to things that are broken… this video was the visual representation of that.

If you look closely, the crown of thorns converted into his tattoo crown. Was he listing the reasons that he wasn't fit? Or was he listing his faults to show that despite knowing all of that, he was still worshipped, still exalted? and when he set a toe outside what was expected of him, they crucified him. His response? Righteousness or responding in kind? That's what I got out of it.

There's a lot of symbolism in the video The Star Wars Empire (which itself is Nazi imagery) / Jesus dichotomy is at a minimum representing splitting or black and white thinking, which are common mental health related behaviors. I think its also a political message, with the use of religion to opiate the masses to questionable policy. The nazi thing and the crown of thorns thing is the same scene where he's basically presenting himself as a god-emperor. You can see this directly with the 3rd verse as well which is overtly political, and which displays what looks like some forced pregnancy program. Also, he's in hell the whole time. This is his hell loop. You can see his homelander eyes shoot out of the ground at 7:20

Ronnie and Jensen are meshing visual arts with the audible in a way that is, in a sense, revolutionary. The intellectualism Jensen welds with the lyrics, visually and audibly, is unmatched. There isn’t a single vocalist or band on the planet that I can listen to and just fall down a rabbit hole of what he is talking about. You see it on reaction channels as well. Many people will hear something and just get into a a huge philosophical debate with themselves and that is what true art can do. It’s wild. Ronnie isn’t given nearly enough credit for the depth of his music. Someone actually told me that he just says what he means and it’s not more than skin deep. I believe that was disproven as far back as 2012.

(At least that's my, and some others, interpretation.) Also, this is called Prequel, and the suit at the end is the one he wears in Watch The World Burn. The assumption is this is the beginning of his rebirth... with the Homelander eye rays coming out while being crucified. The imagery in this video is wild. The whole pulling from both heaven and hell and him breaking free of both. Love the dichotomies that abound in both the imagery & lyrics.
