I know I keep adding on to my comment but to answer "how does he even have vocal cords" he actually stopped screaming as much a few years ago and that's why his newer music isn't as heavy, he had good technique after awhile but he did it for so long it messed up his throat. last year or so a fan at a concert begged him to scream in a song and he gave in but when he did it it messed up his throat baaaad and he had to stop from the pain

But he actually contracted laryngitis whilst on tour,he was advised to end the tour and he refused. He ended up seriously hurting his vocals and having to stop the tour for alot longer. If you try screaming this song with little or no technique, you wouldn't get through a full song, let alone a set. He screams amazing live now though btw. Better than he's ever been live for all his vocal styles. Saw them 3 weeks ago, and they did diamonds aren't forever. And it was sooo good. This song was a HUGE deal back in 2007-2008. Oli had crazy range, and yes, he hurt his voice often. As for their change? They just grew up. The members of BMTH are actually young for how long they have been out. They have just matured and grown. Oli is only 33 now and they have been a band for like 15 years.

@@brysonxd there's only Amo that was drastically different. That's the spirit has some amazing tunes on it. Lyrically amazing too. I didn't like Amo or that's the spirit at 1st. My daughter introduced me to the band with those 2 albums and I hated them. Then I heard Sempiternal and saw them for what they are. Just pure talent. I hated their older stuff too. But it's slowly grown on me. I've always been into metal/rock. But hated anything heavier than metallic in their thrash days. But BMTH have been the gateway for me to appreciate a much heavier sound. I would have Never listened to anything like suicide season 5 years ago. Just thought it was relentless screaming. And to thats their aim. Trying to get more rock into mainstream. They're nominated for Brit awards this year. And kool-aid got to number 20 in UK charts. And not the rock charts. That's unheard of. Nothing that heavy gets a chance.

Yes chris Bring Me The Horizon were the best at the time when they recorded their album count your blessings. This song pray for plagues is still one of my favourites & the other songs on this album are good aswell. Oli sykes's vocals were really good at the time but he has said in interviews that the band were young & they did not know what they were doing in the studio when they recorded this album everything was a mess & it was a dark time for the band. But luckily the band went back into the studio & recorded their second full length album suicide season which was much better then count your blessings because the band had changed up their sound from deathcore to metalcore & fans of the band still loved their sound although it was a massive shift in style for the band. Please react to diamonds aren't forever or the sadness will never end by the band both songs are absolutely amazing. Great reaction as always chris keep them coming.

Oh finally someone reacting to GOOD BMTH lol Not that poppy crap they are making now. This album (Count Your Blessings), the album before (This Is What The Edge Of Your Seat Was Made For, 4-song ep) and album after (Suicide Seasons) were all great. They started changing a ton starting with the next album. They started going toward more "Party" sounding metal in Suicide Seasons, but it was still good. Like still deathcore, but much more "destroy shit during a killer house party from being wasted outta your mind" deathcore. There's a video for Chelsea Smile, the second song on that album. It's literally a house party for the video, which sums up what I meant. And yes. The same vocalist. Oliver Sykes. These vocals are commonplace in deathcore and most extreme metal. Hell, most death metal uses harder to do screams than they do.
