I needed this. I have been on a hiatus due to a head trauma and financial trauma while moving to build my career. I recently saw promotions of some of my old teammates and it caused me to mourn, but I also know that each path is different and I am no longer punishing myself. The world gave me some blessings in a coach who is willing to work with me financially to get back on the mat and after a year of working super super super hard on my mental health and self esteem, I finally feel ready to continue my journey to my purple belt. Thank you for this video as it is really helpful in keeping that “perfectionist” mindset at bay. The journeys are the beauty of the sport and again, thank you for this video.
