absolutely my favorite shoes..I have been doing all my races in it, mainly climbs/mountain races and they are just wonderful..super confortable even over 6/7h rides

So now that it's 4 months on, how's the durability?

I've got the Dmt kr3 and they feel like I'm riding in socks with cleats. Pretty comfortable. Had s-works 7 prior and they were a way better shoe.

I really don’t understand the useability of laced shoes. During a lot of rides I like to tighten, or loosen, the boas to keep them tight / comfortable. How do you do this with laced shoes?

You can’t, but also they don’t really loosen off and the tension is more even across the shoe

Totally agree. It just blows my mind that TP can do a 5 hour TdF stage ... drop everyone in the final hour ... all without adjusting his shoes.

Comfort and function. everything else is just something you deal with. these do come in black, so i do not get the point of dwelling on color at all (which was most of the video!)

I've got a set of DMTs. some kind of knit with one boa. absolutely hate it. the knit is both tight and loose, so tight I can't get my foot in, yet once it's in it's too way soft and the foot over too much. still trying to find the right shoe, but DMT isn't it.

To be fair, they do offer a boa version. But you would be surprised, there is still a big market for the laces option. It's not for me, but so many people love them.

Retuel ones. I was using the Cobra 9 ones, but the place that did them closed down here in Sydney so I jumped to these ones.

The width trend is ridiculous. I have marginally narrower than average feet and am now basically limited to about 3 brands because the bike industry suddenly thinks most people have elephant feet.

$500 is pretty standard for “top of the line” shoes these days. Not saying they are worth that, but more that if you in the market for a brand top of the line shoe, you are looking at that number.

@@ChrisMillerCycling you can of course stand with the review but please do thumbnails wich say review and not "will these increase my ftp" because if this should be the content i expect scientific tests (FTP Tests, power and balance insole test)...it was just feedback that i felt a bit fooled by the content - eventhough i really appreciate the feedback by a bikefitter (wich is not a save profession to mentioned because it doesn't require any studying just some trainings/ courses)

Sidi last longer and look better, and if you come at me on weight, just go to the toilet before you go out to ride....... makes me laugh as most folks with any sense stick a G8 foot sole in or a custom, which add weight...... just get the sidi shots....

Couldn't agree more. I have 5 pairs of SiDis in the bike room-- one pair has to be 12 years old or older. A little tattered but still perfectly functional. Latest pair is stiff and comfortable. Take the small logo off a SiDi 60 and I bet the fellow below couldn't tell them from any other brand.

Chris, my bro, you lost a lot of credibility with this review -- and it's not because I use DMTs, I wear Giros. First of all, most ordinary pros will never ever come close to Tadej and you will never ever by Tadej. And no, getting the same gear won't make you Tadej. Second, bro, the most important thing re performance is transfer of power and that's in the stiffness of the sole. Is it a carbon sole, for example?
