Hey Chris, are you losing header bolts or studs? If it’s bolts can you stud the head then use cap nuts with Nord locks? I switched to studs and Nordlocks on my turbo header and haven’t had any back out problems. Only got to watch out because as the header warms up if you don’t have strong enough threads you’ll see some signs of the studs pulling the threads out of the head.

Bolts. My busa's have the studs but this bike really needs Half studs and half bolts. That mod is definitely gonna happen over the winter.

As a follower of all things bike racing, I have been following the increasing use of wings on Moto GP bikes, and now on street legal supersport bikes and hyper nakeds... Have you looked into aerodynamic solutions to keeping your bike planted at extreme high speeds? BMW currently claims 50 lbs of downforce at 300 kph (186 mph) on their M-1000 sport bike... The AeroDyn tunnel people in Mooresville, North Carolina have wind tunnel time available. They test for NASCAR. Why not adapt a BMW M1000 carbon fairing with wings to Double Trouble and see what you can develop. I expect you will continue going faster and faster.

It wasnt too long ago when 6.50s was a fantasy on "street bikes" . sheeeettt I remember Schnitz 6.90 pass and thought that record would stand forever , then it took like 4 years and Stotz went 6.91...at that point I figured those hero passes would be the numbers that would cement them in history but now that is considered a botched shake down pass lol

The turbo bikes will sometimes spit oil into the turbo housings on decel slowing down. When we push it hard she get's a lil' warm by the finish line with the shortened radiator.
