After being a cynical and worldly person for decades, I had a change of heart and realized God rescued me from some very tough lonely times. I started going to church and started studying the old and new testaments. It was really awesome when I first read and understood the prophecies of Isaiah that pointed to Yeshua as "God with us". Both Christmas and Hanukkah are truly festivals of light, love and peace with lots to celebrate! Shalom from Vermont!

My mom was adopted and due to a name she had been given she thought that she was biologically half Jewish. Because of this I studied Judaism, although I had no desire to give up Christianity. Much to my surprise studying Judaism gave me a better understanding of the New Testament of the Bible as well as the old. I later took a DNA test and found out I had no Jewish blood at all. I also found a 2nd cousin and the real name of my grandfather. What we thought was Jewish was actually Italian (ironically, considering). While I am not Jewish I consider myself an ally of the Jewish people.

A great deal of ignorance is displayed in this video concerning Christmas. Christmas has its birth in paganism. December 25th is basically the birthday for every pagan god. The pope assigned December 25th as Yeshua's birthday because they couldn't get the pagan converts to stop worshipping the pagan gods. So they tried to cover this up by saying it's Yeshua's birthday. December 25th also has its connection to enter solstice, yet another pagan practice. The Christmas tree, wreaths, decorative ball tree ornaments, Santa Claus and so many other things are pagan as well. There's still some debate on the subject but Yeshua was probably born either during the Feast of SUKKOT (Feast of Tabernacles) or at Passover. Jonathan Cahn seems to think it's Passover, based on when lambs are born and when shepherds were most likely to have the herds in the fields. Plus during Passover the lamb is slaughtered and the blood placed on the doorposts so that death would pass over the house, saving anyone inside. There are these and other good arguments for both sides of the discussion, but we're still not positive which is truly His time of birth. One thing is for sure though: it's NOT December 25th. Sticking to this man-made tradition is just hiding the truth and further spreading the lies. Truth is ALWAYS best. So let's just try to stick with truth.

Actually, you’re incorrect. Study church history and you’ll understand. True, HE wasn’t born in December; we do NOT know for sure when HE was born. We can reasonably GUESS but that’s all. If people want to celebrate the birth of CHRIST as a way to worship and honor HIM, there’s nothing wrong with that. However, it is how they celebrate and the condition of their hearts toward what is holy that counts. Your judgement is harsh and not born of the Spirit.

Jesus Christ celebrated Hanukkah. He told the Jews who He is during Hanukkah. At that time the Feast of Dedication took place in Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple courts in Solomon’s Colonnade. So the Jews gathered around Him and demanded, “How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.” “I already told you,” Jesus replied, “but you did not believe. The works I do in My Father’s name testify on My behalf. But because you are not My sheep, you refuse to believe. My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand. My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” -John 10: 22-30 Jesus Christ is our Messiah.

Our Lord Jesus was not born on 25 Dec. The date 25 Dec is the winter solstice the day pagans worship. Nowhere in the Holy Bible scriptures it says Jesus was born on that day. It was Emperor Constantine who declared that it was Jesus birthdate and he himself being a pagan wanted most Christians throughout the ages to celebrate this day with pagan rituals. Christians should acknowledge our Lord Jesus for dying for our sins. May the Lord open the eyes of the majority Christians deceived and may they see His light. In Jesus name i pray Amen🙏
@jewishjewelstv4 күн бұрын
Watch the entire post and see that we make that exact point, but it is never wrong to set aside a day to celebrate the most important day in history, the day of Messiah's birth. Had he not been born to a virgin, according to Isaiah 7:14, as "mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace". He would never have been there to be "pierced for our transgressions" and "Pay the penalty for our sins," as foretold in Isaiah 53:5-6. So regardless of the actual day he was born (which we may never know with certainty) we choose to set aside a day to give glory to God for sending his son, Yeshua, to save our souls.
@nevereux4 күн бұрын
Amen. Scripture itself demands that we observe the Messiah's death, not His birth. He came to die, He became death Heb 2:9-10, and His sacrifice will be commemorated even during the Millennium Ezek 40-48. God goes into tremendous detail about days, times, hours, and specific events, yet there's no mention of the exact day of Jesus' birth or a commandment to celebrate it annually (unlike the annual celebrations of HIS 7 Biblical Feasts). The omission of an obvious birth date for Jesus is intentional. If it were critical for us to know and to celebrate on a specific day in a certain way, God would tell us. But it's excluded as a date and as a holiday. That speaks volumes. Instead, God (through the Bible) instructs us to honor the birth of Jesus every day as a celebration of life and with gratitude for salvation. Remember, His coming wasn't about being born; His purpose was to save our souls (through His death and resurrection, HalleluYAH!). Celebrations may not be a salvation issue, but opening ourselves to demonic entities is clearly an abomination that results only in adverse outcomes. When we do activities that God specifically tells us not to participate in, this is sin. We are living outside the will of God. In the midst of a fallen world, completely entrenched in the activities and rituals of satanic powers and demonic entities, Josiah bravely and boldly stood with God and cleaned house. Thoroughly. We shouldn't participate in this fallen world that continuously seeks to justify its fallen state by redefining values, re-framing reality, and lowering its standards to align with its fall. We’re not kings as Josiah, but "those who know their God" (Dan 11:32) as their personal savior must rise above the fallen world and raise their standards toward God's eternal and unchanging truth. "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." - Romans 12:2. Shalom. God bless you!

You can't compare xmas & Hanukkah just because they fall on the same day. Xmas & Hanukkah have nothing to do with each other. Hanukkah is not about xmas. It'd about the war between the Macabbes & the Greeks, and the victory of the Maccabees! It's also about the oil in the temple & the redication of the 2nd temple. Xmas has nothing to do with Hanukkah. Yeshua celebrated Hanukkah. There is scriptural evidence. Then came Hanukkah; it was winter in Jerusalem. Yeshua was walking in the Temple around Solomon’s Colonnade. - John 10:22-23 TLV Did He celebrate His Birth on 25th December or even commanded us to celebrate. Would be keen to know if someone can provide scriptural evidence. We do know He commanded us to celebrate His death and resurrection which is during Passover time, since He is our Jewish Messiah.
