Saint Nicholas was a true man of God, a man who really lived, a saint who helped the needy. Society traded a beautiful story about charity into one of myth. They turned that man's legacy into merchandise. They turned a real man of God into a fictional character and removed God from his story and hybridized him into the pagan zeitgeist.

I have a book titled”Nicholas you will believe” by Michael J Scott. It is a keeper. It is marketed as fiction as his story is unable to be vetted, of course. I have one I made one many years ago when I did ceramics. I was in my mid 20s now I'm almost 72 and I treasure that time thats when God took me from religion to a relationship with him in the Jesus I loved as a child being raised Catholic but did know Him till understanding the gospel and how much Jesus loves us who came at we the world calls Christmas 💜🙏have a blessed one brethren

Yes, I have a decoration of Santa kneeling before the Christ Child. I think it is a precious idea that is an important reminder especially to children who are raised to believe in Santa, that no one is above Jesus/God. Even a reminder to the rest of us, that Jesus is the center of the season.

Yes he did. He was Nicolas, the Saintly bishop of Myra, now in Modern day Turkey. He was known during his life for his extreme generosity and devotion to the Baby Jesus. Many of the stories around the fantasy St Nic of today, have their origins in St Nicolas real life experiences.

An atheist can do charitable works, even people in organized crime donates to hospitals and charities'. Remember Isaiah 64:6 See, the act alone does not make it Godly. But, either way this miss's my point. My point is how most people celebrate it for the festival not God. just like the Hebrews with their sacrifices, after a while they forgot about God and just Rejoiced in the festival ( Psalm 40:6-8; Isaiah 1:11-31; Jeremiah 7:21-23; ). This is what we do today with Christmas.

Very true message. However, I am hearing impaired and even after "tuning" my aids with an app had a difficult time understanding the message due to the overpowering background music. The music would have been better left out leaving the message to stand on its own. Despite the difficulty, I did enjoy and appreciate the message. So true!
