Great video Chris, thanks for sharing, just one thing. I don't understand how the end log works, i mean, you click it when? when you end a task or you just started working in it? How this can be in combination with the accountability partner that you taught us made from previous videos? Just that, thanks again!

Hey yes when you start working on a task you click start log, and when you're finished you click end log then it'll show the time elapsed. It's not linked to the accountability partner in any way.

Really cool video,!! I'm having a hard time on when and how to use subtasks. You just created two table. I was using subtasks. Not sure if it's the best practice.

Personally I don't use subtasks. Cuz I find if you have a main task with smaller ones inside, then those should be different databases cuz they have different information attached and you can't see your main task's progress with a progress bar. So I always split them up into projects & tasks. Though if subtasks works for you then go for it

@@chrisnotion usually I have no problem with the columns of subtasks and in notion we can have a ton of columns if you need personalized ones. And it's possible to see the progress bar using rollups of the subtasks columns, the exact same way we do using relation of a different database.

Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Just wondering whether you've posted a video that shows only uncompleted tasks against each project listing, rather than all tasks, and if that is a relatively simple thing to do?

Hi yes that's done through just setting up a filter to where the done checkbox property is unchecked. Or if you're referring to when you're opening the project and seeing the task relations then no that's not possible

@@chrisnotion Hi Chris. Sorry to be a pain. Struggling to get the filter to work. My set up is two databases, Projects and Tasks that have a relation between them. In the Tasks database there is a checkbox called Done. I am trying to get a formula column in the Projects database to only show Tasks where Done is not checked. I can get as far as showing all Tasks {map(prop("Tasks"),current)} but am struggling to get the correct code to filter by Done not checked in the Tasks database. Is this something you can help easily with? Many thanks Mark
