17:02 for me the biggest red flag (which id really love to see you mention in future videos) is they don't support ISA transfers OUT of invest engine. As it happens, I moved from hargreaves over to invest engine and I wish I didn't because they are so slow to settle deals and take 16 weeks pay SIPP top ups. I've now found out I can't transfer my ISA or SIPP back out which is incredibly frustrating and worrying.
@JonnyHart-nn4ph8 күн бұрын
This isn’t true! You can contact Vanguard or another platform and request to transfer your Invest Engine ISA over to them. It will follow the process so transferring out is possible
@investengine2 күн бұрын
Hi! Thanks for sharing your experience-it’s always helpful to hear feedback. Just to clarify, we do support ISA and SIPP transfers out. You’ll need to submit a request with your new provider to start the process. Regarding SIPP tax relief payments, these typically take 6-11 weeks as advised by HMRC, though we know the wait can feel long! If you’ve had any issues with settlement, our Client Services team is here to help-don’t hesitate to reach out. 😊

A few questions about transferring ISA from another provider into invest engine: 1 is it possible to transfer part of an ISA? 2 is it possible to transfer only cash? Is it possible to transfer a mixture of some cash and specific ETFs?

Recently joined this platform and it's really simplified investing compared to interactive brokers. The one feature I miss is being able to add price limits for buying stocks, so the stocks won't be bought until your conditional price is met. Overall it's much better for new investors. Loving invest engines no hassle approach. Started with your two fund Vanguard approach (90/10 Developed/Emerging) but recently moved to the Invesco All World fund (FWRG, I think I saw it in your Hargreaves portfolio) which tracks the same index as VWRP but for only a 0.15% fee (Not much more than the 2 fund approach for the convenience and simplicity of just one fund) and Investengines auto rebalance means that change was seamless.

One thing I like about HL is the instant quote. Sometimes 212 takes ages to execute especially for small caps which can be very unreliable if it is also volatile or not alot of volume. At least with HL, if they can they give you a instant quote which you can accept or let lapse so you know exactly what price you are getting. Only worth it with atleast £1k deals though.

You can only transfer from Vanguard, which is daft, and they don't cater for drawdown - also daft.
@chrispalmer2416 күн бұрын
All transfers are coming soon, they just rushed through the Vanguard one for now and were flooded after Vanguard increased their fee. As for drawdown - I imagine it'll be added in the future but it's definitely a accumulation SIPP at the moment. Most of the ones that offer drawdown often reflect it in their fees. @chrispalmer249 күн бұрын
They make money on uninvested cash - and they ideally want people to opt for their managed options, or lifeplans where they charge a small % (0.25%) - they also make money on uninvested cash (which actually adds up). I expect there will be more premium offerings to come too - but for now, we can take advantage of the low fees for sure.
