would it be possible to bounce the light from the clouds back onto the ground and make everything somewhat brighter?

Sadly these super powerful lights are something to be experienced in real life with own eyes. No camera gives justice to the shear power these lights produce. I've got the imalent r60c and mr90 which both look insanely bright irl, but nothing too special in videos. Would love to see the sr32 in real life, just not worth it for me to spend 700€ on a flashlight xD

Except if you use a drone for aerial photos like in my Imalent SR32 and MS32 reviews. Really shows how insane these flashlights are.

As a flashaolic, I place most emphasis on the max brightness which can be run continuously, not the flash brightness. A 25,000 lumen flashlight, like this Imalent, commands the greatest respect. This in one impressive flood illuminator; I wouldn't classify as a "search and rescue" flashlight because, for impressive it can be, it is not effective if you need to see at many hundreds metres of distance; multi-LED flashlights simply can't reach that far...
@ChrispyThings
@ChrispyThings 11 ай бұрын
A good search and rescue should be able to do both. Have great throw to see far distances, but also flood the immediate area with a lot of light.

I understand what you’re saying and I agree to an extent, I don’t care if it lights up the whole planet if it only does it for 60 seconds. With that said what is the brightest light you’ve found with a continuous full power run time

What if you used two of them? That would instantly double the amount of light! You should get two of them and make it two times the brightest flashlight that would be so cool
@DanRussell-q8s
@DanRussell-q8s 9 ай бұрын
Two of them would not make them two times the brightness . It would only double your coverage area because you could use 10 at once and you will still only be putting out 120,000 lumens per flashlight . That is like saying which weighs more , a ton of bricks or a ton of feathers ?

The most dangerous bit of kit I have ever owned. When it won't shut down due to faulty switch system don't be anywhere near it. Returned after the first week. No reply from imalent. Excessive temperatures generated, needs a way more effective cooling system / heat sync.

I would say that's 120,000 LUX up close, but lumens? I doubt that highly. Even 120,000 lux is really giving it some extra umph 😮 Is this thermally regulated? Thanks for the video Chris, as always!!! And yeah, a shorts video would be AMAZING of the OLD brightest vs the new one in the same location in the back yard!!! BTW, is there a tool or meter that can RELIABLY tell us what the intensity/output is in lumens and lux? A light meter or something? 🤔🧐😶‍🌫️ I mean there's an SPL meter for sound. You'd surely think there would be one for the intensity of light???
@robertjusic9097
@robertjusic9097 Жыл бұрын
i dont see why it cant be 120k lumens. Some of these new leds like XHP70.3 can output near 5500 lumens on its own(on chinese bateries). So you would need only 24 of them for 120k lumens. With premium bateries and good electronics,these leds can probably be pushed over 6-7k lumens for every one of them. Who knows. also yes, there is thermal regulation, handheld flashlights will turn the brightness down at like 50°C. More edvanced flashlights even have software (Anduril 2) that lets you adjust when the thermal throtling starts
