6:06 I would check that paper again, and try spinning in rotations of the order or sequence following the number you discovered.. Maybe, but it would require some spectacular tolerances to open from centrifugal forces spinning it in reverse directions for X amount of times in that specific order. A screw mechanism could do it but its fairly difficult to rely on threading when theres so many variables at play. Primarily lubrication and having it work over a period of time as a puzzle, and then degredation of the working surfaces depending on composition etc.
@ToastMasterGuy6 жыл бұрын

Using the notches on the brass key I think the number served as a less random way to open it. Think safe combinations, like 2 left, 4 right, 9 left. Of course you don't have a clear zero position so, just guessing here.

@lewong16026 жыл бұрын
This might work if there are 9 notches on the brass pin and there was an identifying mark for notch one with instructions on clockwise incremental increase or counter-clockwise. Without an identifying mark it wouldn't be possible to know where to start and which way to turn. It is unlikely this is the case since I couldn't seem to find any identifying marks designating an initial pin. If anything it would be used in a way to guide you on how to get the wandering pin out of the lock but this just doesn't seem to be the case in this lock. I may be missing something without being able to hold the lock in my hand.
@JesusisJesus6 жыл бұрын
There is no need for notches if the numbers correspond to clock positions, So this might require you to dial the pin in at the 2 o'clock position, then the 4, then the 9 o'clock spots. Then again that might be the angle of the groove inside where a ball or a rod slides when the whole puzzle is held at those clock angles...?

6:02 I'd try using the removed piece to see if it does anything with the teeny ipn under the head of the brass piston like pin... Or try forcing it to unscrew with that little tiny pin pressed down by the big brass piston like piece...

your definition of "keyboard warrior" is very loose. apparently asking for a logical answer is being a keyboard warrior? with that logic, i'd be able to come up with the conclusion of you and I are also both keyboard warriors.

@8:36 I would be trying the number sequence you found in some way combination with the notches...maybe 2 clicks, 4 clicks, and 9 clicks... like a combination lock

Lol for some reason i'm drawn to these vids but i think mistakes were made in this one. Firstly, ignoring the 2, 4, 9 was quite disappointing. I think you lucked out and somehow combo'd something in relation to those digits by physically looking through the peepholes into the bars (still impressive, but I think you cracked the lock there instead of actually solving it). Also i'm not sure you found the tiny wanderer; because when u said @11:55 this little "bearing" fell out, that was what you called the tiny wanderer, but u hadn't removed the brass key yet... So either it's a shitty puzzle (because you did step 4 before step 3) or you never really completed step 4. I'm not sure, but my guess is since step 3 and 4 are sequential then the tiny wanderer should either be in the brass key, or the part you took the brass key out of, or the brass key should be used to find it somehow. I think we need revenge lock part 2; then i'll subscribe :p

They call it a brass KEY, so surely it unlocks the body of the lock to free the wanderer?

What about the Brass key is the one unscrewed from the bottom of the lock and the "wanderer" is into another brass maze?
@brianbethea30695 жыл бұрын
As confirmed by the creator himself, he completely solved the puzzle.
@MarkBreugelmans5 жыл бұрын
@15:00 .. I would try putting it back into the main body ... the main brass pin can now get lower into the lock, and the two pins in the main body might unlock or unhold the mechanism inside the actual lock

Hey Chris! So I'd love for you to try this one again. I was searching the websites and people have asked if what we thought was the little piece 'the wandered' was the actual ending. However, it isn't. There's actually a bit more to go. Maybe take a picture of that final piece and show it to Wil and see if that truly is the wanderer. If so, great job, however.. just don't think that's it and would love to see this solved all the way through :) No harm in checking right? :)
