It impresses me how fast you're able to figure out that an answer has multiple words involved. I get so hung up on those.

I've always interpreted the exclamation point in clues to operate the same way as a question mark, in which there might be wordplay involved. You'd have to think about the answer literally. But the way you described it sounds valid too.

Just like Chris I got completely stuck in the bottom left section and breezed through the rest, so about normal difficulty on aggregate. Loved the clue for TSA
