That was fun. Really enjoyed your appreciation for her dancing. Solar gets dissed as a dancer but she's such a charismatic performer I think she more than makes up for any technique deficiencies she might have. I'm not a dancer and don't notice any flaws, perhaps because I'm too busy enjoying what she does. To me Honey seems like difficult choreo to do while singing and even Mamamoo's best dancer Wheein had trouble learning it for the solo song switch segment of their My Con concerts. Love the Face EP and don't understand why Honey wasn't a hit. Btw, Solar wrote and composed Big Booty and was the primary co-writer & composer of your favorite song Chap Chap. Zinggle Zinggle was the only song on Face she didn't have a hand in writing.

Solar’s not a natural dancer, but she makes up for it through sheer relentless practice and perfectionism. So her freestyling is endearingly clumsy (shes one of us! Lol), but her actual performance is absolutely killer

@@shortdrink873 Ditto. She's slow to learn a new dance but once she's got it down then, like her singing, it becomes another vehicle for her charismatic personality and radiant spirit. That's where the artistry lies rather than the details of perfect technique imho.

Don’t know if this was common knowledge already but Galen Hooks was one of the choreographers of Spit It Out. Oooh and absolutely love that you appreciate Chap Chap. Solar participated in composing the song so her playful personality shone through in that song

I don't see anyone answering your question about the dancers in Honey. The short blond woman who is next to Solar in most formations is JJ she is the choreographer (does most of the choreo for Mamamoo + as well). She and the other dancers are from One Million. Starting with Gogobebe One Million has done most of Mamamoo's choreo.

Solar is not just my bias in mamamoo, she is my favorite singer and these songs are great. These live performance especially. Also cool is if you watch My Con concert videos, you will see Wheein do Honey, Solar does Wheein's Water color and you can watch all 4 of them do Spit it out together. Many of these songs are written by Solar, big booty is only Solar credited for lyrics and the music. Cosmic Girl wrote Zinggle Zinggle and it is a song inspired by what she sees in the friendship between moonbyul and solar. Big Booty is my favorite, only Solar could write a song about Big Booty and how much she loves it, back when she wrote it she herself wanted a bigger booty. But the big band cabaret style of the song is not just classic mamamoo retro, marilyn monroe whatever star from that time only Solar can do this.

I'll have a look for The ' My Con concert ' videos by Mamamoo, depending on how long the video is I may have to react to it in Mamamoo week2 ... 😏 Also I can so see Hwasa or Jessi do a cover of big booty ( not the style of a Solar , but their own version in their own styles ) I feel like they're the only other people in the industry brave, wild enough haha. Thanks 4 the mamamoo week! Chap chap (and zzingle zzingle cuz I get “I really do love u my babe” stuck in my head all the time) are also my favourite songs! If ur ever interested in checking another solar song (u don’t have to do a reaction just a listen) I’d recommend adrenaline too. she serves in that song
