I too used to have an unhealthy attachment to a man that lasted for 4 yrs. I loved him, but was also afraid to let him go, afraid to be alone, afraid I'd never find someone who matched me mentally. So I held on. Wasted my time. Lowered my standards. Settled. He wanted relationship moments with no commitment. Finally I accepted the situation and released my attachment through yoga and shadow work. Now it feels like freedom. I wish him well, but glad its over. I hope she releases one day too.
