It is a pleasure and an honour to be featured on SiccasGuitars KZbin channel. Thank you everyone for your wonderful support and comments. I'd like To answer some questions that were either commented here on sent to me via DM. This piece was composed by my former teacher, mentor and great friend Patrick Roux (Canada). It's dedicated to a student who passed away in tragic circumstances, hence the title, d'un ciel à l'autre, which translates as: from one sky to another. The instrument used in this video is made by none other than Canadian luthier Jean Rompré. I also play on a guitar made by Canadian luthier Douglass Scott, which will be featured in future videos. I’d also like to thank Drew Henderson for his incredible video and audio work. Thank you again for your continuous support and stay tuned for more to come!

Jesus man, you make that Rompré sing! Such great clarity and variation in colours between the voices. You really elevated the piece in a way I haven't heard before.

This is my first time i am listening this music. It was so melodic and it touched my heart. Besides, your technic and your feelings was much better than the music itself. simply, you are a giant guitarist. Thanks for uploading....Besides, there was an excellent guitar sounding.

Interesting - I'm listening to Christ playing heavenly music in church.

My teacher used to say playing fast is easy but playing convincingly slow on the guitar with its lack of sustain and touchy dynamics was the real challenge.

Have noticed , over the years trying to show someone a RAPID TEMPO PART when you slow it down can be very difficult. { I'm NOT a shredder-lol }

You’re completely right! I’ve got to say that recording this piece was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, way harder than any of the fast, quick pieces I’ve recorded in the past.

carved headstock is unusual.

This is a guitar I made, Christ bought it from Bruno Rousselle when he replaced him in the Canadian Guitar Quartet, so the guitar stayed in the quartet.
