A while back I went through a time where I'd focus on trying to quit smoking ciggs, and everything else. All the while I longed to just sense his love for me. God then gave me an illustrated vision of what he really longs for: Being at a romantic dinner with him and all he wants is to be with me, but when I was focusing on everything but him is the same as when your earthly friend puts more attention into their phone instead of enjoying each other's presence 😭🥰

I heard a pastor say once first give God your heart then your hands and feet will follow. We are a continual work being sanctified through our walk on earth to be more like Jesus. It is his Holy Spirit that does the work we just need to seek his heart. I would however keep in mind that he asks for our obedience. 1Sa 15:22 And Samuel said, “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams. Joh 14:15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. Gods word puts great emphasis on our obedience as well as our bodies being the temple that we should respect. 1Co 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 1Co 6:20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. With all that said also remember that God’s Mercy is new every morning and his Grace is sufficient for you and his power is made perfect in our weakness. So when we fall don’t beat yourself up and lay in the mud to punish yourself, get back on your feet grab his hand again get up and keep running the good race. No one is worthy all have fallen short. And when we break one part of the law we have broken all parts. But Christ came to fulfill the law not nullify it. Your a covered brother covered by his mercy and grace in Christ. Give him your heart, pick up your cross daily and he will continue to renew your heart and make his desires your desires. God bless you bro!

On my way home tonight after a hard day my heart cried "Jesus I really need to feel Your Embrace tonight" and once I settled down ...I began to watch this...and I am... romanced..wooed...heart stirred once more by our beautiful Bridegroom. I am asking God for wisdom because I had something trouble happen and I need help. A year ago I was fasting and praying specifically for my mom when I heard what sounded like the Holy Spirit say, "I'll accept your fast but I won't save your mom." I felt conflicted, then went down the tubes, broke my fast and have not prayed for my mom since...feeling like a complete failure. I prayed but haven't heard from the Lord. Any godly wisdom would be appreciated.
