"Christ Was With My Daughter" - Radical Forgiveness

19-year-old daughter of Kate and Andy Grosmaire was shot by her longtime boyfriend Conor. She died five days later on Good Friday. The Grosmaires’ ability to forgive Conor became his first experience of God’s love and led him to a new life in Christ.

That type of faith is rare! It’s one thing to say I have faith in God and I believe it’s another to put it into action. It’s one thing to say I forgive him. It’s another two really feel it so you can get that peace in such a horrible situation.

Almighty Father, the scriptures tell us in Isaiah 53:5, "But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed." We take hold of that promise for L N today. In the name of Jesus, we pray for healing of all health issues in their body. We command all illnesses to leave them in Jesus' name! Forgiving is not the same as condoning! When you forgive, you aren't saying "what you did is okay". It's releasing the anguish over to God and being set free internally. Plus, God commands that we forgive! It's a choice, not a feeling.
