I love the " with out further audu let's get smithing" comment, you should make shirts or stickers with that on them!

Another great video. I have been wanting to make a "extra long" pair of Barbeque tongs (as I'm disabled) that I can use to rotate food on the grill and even move pieces of wood into the fire (or on top of our dutch ovens) when needed. Don't have a forge or an anvil BUT at least I have some idea HOW to go about this should I acquire such in the future. Thanks for sharing. God bless.

Isn't there a blacksmith called Dan that makes very very similar tooling but his tongs are made a bit better.

Then go to his channel and get your info there! been using this style of tooling and tong for the last five years..... Just because one person makes a video on it doesn't mean that other Smiths haven't already thought of it.

I've made tongs using different methods and this by far is the simplest way to make them especially if your a beginner. The most common mistake is forging the boss to thin. This method you already have the thickness done. And you can focus more on the set downs. These function just the same imo.
