It is New Zealand's worst ever mass shooting, then Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern called it "our darkest of days". Fifty-one people were killed, and dozens injured as they prayed at the Al Noor Mosque and the Linwood Islamic Centre on March 15 2019. It swiftly resulted in tighter gun laws.
Five years on, there are still many issues facing the Muslim community with calls for reparations for victims to be fast-tracked.
