I have a savage elite precision in 338 and i just bought a Christensen arms in 338. Super disappointed in the Christensen arms. Same position with same ammo at about 1000 yards my savage has solid groups, but the Christensen arms is all over the place. Zero consistency. Even have the same muzzle brakes.

Not sure if you have seen the very most recent vids w/CA? The scope-base screws had slightly backed out. Not by a lot (couldn't wiggle the base with my hands), but apparently enough to get it to shift on recoil. But still...the Savages just plain shoot. Maybe not a fair comparison. But the money for a CA should justify expectation for sub-MOA like they claim to guarantee. Also, make sure about the action-screws. Those also will back out. Mine did.
and in particular, this most recent outing...and the summary at the end...THAT is what I was hoping for out of this rifle. I really do need to get this back out and refine the loads, since I am basically starting from square-2 since all previous groups are effectively meaningless. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZDSn6yvr6yXrZo

@@krodkrod8132 I'm guessing your CA is the carbon-fiber wrapped barrel, being they are more common? If so, just a thought in case you see any difference. I've seen people say theirs will shoot a decent group when it's cold barrel. But then after 4-6 shots, can see groups in the neighborhood of 6". So if you have the time & patience, might be able to rule that in/out.
