@@goldenladyokcfades7702 By their OWN admission, Dame Dash told them “we don’t know how to market a group like you.” So, they said “we have the biggest rapper in Jay Z. Let us get on his hooks or have him work with us.” Dame told the, “nah, that ain’t the way.” So, they asked for a release and Roc-a-fella granted it. Thing is, Kenny Ski wanted to shop around for deals while Allen Anthony (lead singer) was offered a solo deal behind his back. He took it and signed to Rocafella as a solo act. Dame wanted the Christian sound and was relieved that he kept the voice. Thing is, Kenny Ski (background guy) wrote and produced all their music. So, Dame never released an Anthony project because he didn’t have that same sound. So, he tried to get Ski to re-sign and he refused. And because he was bound by contract, Dame wouldn’t allow Anthony to work with Ski anymore out of spite. Kenny Ski replaced Anthony years later with his cousin, for their second album. But, the sound just wasn’t there. That sound needed that voice.
