Yeah Twitch is also garbage. The ads have improved a bit it seems, you no longer need to sit through 10x 40 second ads every 30 minutes but I still prefer watching on youtube.

I would love to know if he held the Chromatic Star specifically to play around Kroxa, or if it was primarily just to put the extra counter on Walking Ballista. Either way, absolutely incredible playing from him the entire match.

Watching an eldrazi deck in the finals, gives me great comfort coz my friend just recently died at 43 years of age and he was an avid eldrazi master in all aspects from pauper to modern to commander. Rest in peace my friend, and know that the blind eternity still lives on.

He uses elemental heroes while i used cyberdragons, then vanguard and finally he started to play mtg with focus on eldrazi. Me i went back to mtg after a 10 year hiatus and started playing standard and modern then focused on edh. We had some epic games against each other

I just got into MTG two weeks ago, and heard about how amazing these finals were. And i gotta say Beardsley holding the thoughtseize to combo with Dauthi and take Ulamog, and Christian holding the chromatic star to not die to Kroxa was some of the craziest decision making i've seen in my life. I'm so excited as i just start my journey in this beautiful game !

Congratulations to all players from the Pro Tour. They have given us an amazing show. Special congratulations to the eight finalists. My personal admiration to Calcano. Game 4 - Why are the commentators going on about Jake not saccing the treasures to cast Fable in response to Oblivion Stone? Wasn't the Stone popped in combat, so the mana would disappear anyway?

Its more he should have used the treasure to do the Fable copying. That would have left the 3 lands untapped after combat for the fable.

it's more than a bit weird, especially for casual fans. i would have enjoyed seeing a single-set tournament for LoTR. actually, it would be fun to see more single set tournaments in general. thematic consistency is nice.

I know it greatly improves pacing but I miss when these events were actually live instead of being pre recorded. I just think we lose a little something because when a match is over it immediately jumps to the booth or to another match so we don't get to see players reactions or the venue / crowd or anything. But I understand that doing it completely live represents a lot of downtime that you need to fill up with small talk, trivia and deck techs. But that was part of the charm lol. Also I miss Rich Hagon, Randy Buehler and BBD. 🥲

There has got to be a better way to post tournament rounds than this thumbnail + title. @@trith72 Cedric and Pat have been working together nonstop for like 15 years and even lived together for long periods lol. In fact they still make content together consistently. They have ongoing series like Unsleeved and Resleevables with the two of them. The most recent episode came out 11 days ago lol. So its not like they moved on or something, they have multiple ongoing projects together and again have been working together and an iconic duo for like my entire life almost lol.

at 55:00 jake throws the game because he tapped a land instead of using a treasure... he could have played fable after stone to draw into kroxa+bowmaster earlier and pressure calcano more... that way calcano loses titan to kroxa and has no pressure...

@@burnsboy101 they said he could have played fable and missed the carddraw... i added a timestamp and an explanation what would have happened after he drawed 2 extra cards... seriously i do not understand why you are so triggered by that as he did win the match and i did not say something personal about him...
